That´s a good choice if you want to stay at Recoleta - very nice neighborhood, with a small kid. My daughter is almost 2 years old now and they have a small kitchen with all you may need. (but they charge U$8 a day for the cradle...)

The local is very quiet, you don´t see neighboors in your floor and they deliver the breakfast at your door the time you schedule.
The breakfast is the same everyday, but that´s a problem only if you staying a long period.

There is a very good place for buying food at the same street - empanadas Las Tucumanas - and another place with regional food to deliver at Calle Juncal. Besides, a lot of small markets and grocery shops around the block.

Very close to the Recoleta Cemetery (at the block of the Village cinemas) there is an old and simple restaurant - El Rincón - with very good and cheap argentinian food. Much better than most of the turistic traps in the sidewalk in front of the Cemetery main entrance.

  • Liked — The small kitchen and the breakfast delivered at your door
  • Disliked — The view

I stayed for 4 nights in Ayres de Recoleta. Room was quite spacious although little storage space. Kitchenette is useful for tea although it's so cheap to eat out, you don't use it! The pool is very small and at the back of the ground floor so is viewable from reception and internet area and that's a little off putting. It also looses the sun around 5, which was the time I would have liked to sit out and read for a couple of hours before dinner.

The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Staff are friendly although weren't so good on recommendations for places to eat and didn't seem to know what was around the local area (or maybe it was the person we asked).

Location is ideal and safer than some other parts of town and definitely one I would recommend.

We stayed here just one night, our very last of the trip, and it was very nice for what we needed. It had a little kitchen that we could have taken advantage of if we were there longer...

It couldn't be in a better location for La Recoleta. Our taxi driver pointed to a wall and said we were close to the cemetery...we didn't imagine we'd be looking down on it from our room!

The staff were very nice and helpful as well.

  • Liked — The location.
  • Disliked — The elevators are VERY small...

We originally booked at Ayres de Palermo but upon arriving were told that there was a problem with the hotel and they were transferring us to this property in Recoleta. We were a bit skeptical, but they called us a cab, paid for it and didn't charge us more for this location, even though they admitted it was a better location.

The room itself was quite comfortable. It was modern and roomy and included a kitchenette. The property includes a beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The location was excellent. It was half a block from the Recoleta cemetary, excellent bars, cafes and restaurants, and a very nice artisan's market on the weekends - not to mention Uru factory leather shop where my wife had a leather jacket made custom for less than US$200.

They didn't offer breakfast onsite, but gave us a voucher for a very good breakfast buffet at a local coffee shop two blocks away.

The best part of our experience at this hotel was the very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone from the front desk to the bellboys spoke quite good English and remembered us each time we visited on our trip (we stayed at the hotel at the beginning of our trip and at the end of our trip and even checked our bags there for an afternoon between a flight and a bus trip in the middle of our trip.) The staff helped make restaurant suggestions and reservations for us (we highly recommend Sucre) and helped to arrange transfers and tours - and even found a tour to take us to a Boca Juniors game, which we ended up not doing.

After comparing experiences of Buenos Aires hotels with other travelers on our journey we realized that we had stumbled upon a true gem here.

booking was the worst part of it. i had to change dates and expedia was absolutely worthless in the process. i ended up having to contact the hotel to book separately with them and expedia refused to refund my money until i returned.. long story, but if you have ANY concerns about your schedule do not use expedia.

all told the rest of the hotel experience, with the exception of street noise, was a pleasure. the room was spacious, clean and the breakfasts were great, although not on the premises.. the location behind Recoleta Cemetery was perfect. hotel staff was very helpful..
