Typical colonial church. Very nice area to visit, not only the church
For a church, it is OK. Stone windows are interesting, but nothing awesome here.
This is a really average church and the main attractions are the cloisters which hold a museum of religious art. The church is worth a quick visit but the museum is small, poor and definitely not worth a visit.
The church is very simple, compared to others in BsAs. The architecture is common, and inside, the unique atraction is the altar, full of golden pieces. But it's extremely calm, quiet, it's really a place to pray, to feel peace. A beautiful gregorian chant is everywhere. It's good to relax here, to prepare yourself to visit the Recoleta Cementery, just behind it.
It's a church that is lacking in maintenance. Not much history is hear but this is not Europe so you will not find much history in churches here beyond local hero's tombs occasionally put in corners here and there.
