We booked at the Limehouse. We confirmed. We send our passport numbers. We reconfirmed. We arrived. They knew nothing about our booking and there was no room for us. Eventhough we showed them our e-mails (in their Inbox). No one working there could speak a word of English (yes, we were in SA, but if they cater for foreigners, someone should at least speak a bit of broken English), adn no one really seemed to give a damn. Landed up staying as Portal Del Sur which is very cool.

I've stayed in a handful of BA hostels over half a dozen visits to the city - this one is my favorite. The people are always fun and eclectic, from all over the world. It's not as totally focussed on the house-club scene as some other hostels, but there are always people around looking to party. Backpackers who stay in BA for extended periods will often settle on this hostel after staying at other more popular places. The management is *much* more laid back and cool than Millhouse's (Millhouse is probably the most popular BA hostel).

Although I have met some Argentines in Millhouse, if you are looking to meet the locals or to immerse yourself in Spanish, this is probably not the place to go.

I have to recommend this place. The staff is great. The nicest people
on earth. A big hug to Tania and Salym. The atmosphere is as cool as can be, the music is great and the beer is cheap. It has a huge terrace to chill out on the hot summer nights. No ploblems what so ever about anything.
