My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Bobo for five nights in August and loved every minute of it. We booked the Minimalist Room and were happy with all aspects of it. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was amazing. The bed was comfy and the room itself was quite spacious. The outdoor patio was also an added bonus. We left Buenos Aires for four days in the middle of our stay and Bobo was happy to let us store our extra luggage while we were gone.

The staff at Hotel Bobo also made our stay a memorable one. They went to great lengths to ensure that we were enjoying our time in the city. Every recommendation was spot on and it was very nice to have assistance with making reservations for dinners out. The personal attention we received from the staff at Hotel Bobo was outstanding.

The location of the hotel was also a huge plus. Tons of great parillas and bars surround the hotel. I loved the neighborhood - lots of great shops, food and bars.

The bar at Hotel Bobo is also great. You'll get "welcome drink" vouchers upon check in, which are good for any of their mixed drinks, beers and wines. The pisco sours are amazing. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night as well. It is great food, but is not classic Argenitinian. The free breakfast served in the morning is also more than generous.

Hotel Bobo clearly tries hard to be hip, but it is not over the top. It is a perfect spot for young people who enjoy personal attention and want to take advantage of all that B.A. has to offer - without feeling like a tourist.

In the competitive area of Palermo in BA, we were delighted we had chosen to stay in Bobo. Hip, cool but without trying too hard, the welcome was so warm and we were even given big bear bugs goodbye. The wine bar/restaurant was bijou but with delicious food and, of course, wine and the rooms were effortlessly chic. Amazing value for money and a terrific start to our holiday in Argentina. We also loved the Palermo region; think Islington but with better restaurants and sunshine! We had a wonderful meal in Cloony for example. Have fun!

I have been to Buenos Aires several times and typically stay at the Malabia House in Palermo Soho. After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I decided to change and try two newer hotels, Mira Vida and Hotel BoBo. I was extremely suprised that the BoBo was just an average hotel experience, it really didn't seem to live up to the prior reviews. There were some nice elements, the elevator is helpful if you have lots of baggage, the staff was nice enough and all spoke decent English, and the location is great.

The negatives:
The staff: while professional and friendly, seem not really interested in helping the guests or in their roles. I can't put a finger on what the issue is, but I compare the feeling I had with the service at Malabia House and Mira Vida to BoBo and find it coming up very short.
The cigarette smoke: I am not sure if it came up from the restaurant below or from the room next door, but it made it next to impossible to sleep without the window wide open. On a cold winters night, this was not a great option.
The room decor: looking a little tired compared to the glossy photos. Nice, but again relative to their competition not up to par.
The Breakfast: Again, not great. They served a few pastry options and coffee. The service was surly (maybe hungover).

Overall, this was an average hotel. The price is higher than average. Given the other, much nicer, options in the area I will not go back to the BoBo.

We stayed at Bobo for three nights in July '08. It is a very well decorated, quaint restaurant/hotel. There are only a few rooms, which we liked (not a fan of those huge, monster hotels). When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and given a complimentary glass of wine, which we enjoyed right away in the beautifully decorated restaurant. The staff is so extremely attentive and helpful. They did anything we needed at anytime, including setting up a private wine tasting for us at a wine shop down the street. The breakfast (which is included) was wonderful. We only ate at the restaurant one other time, and it was excellent.

Our room was great - fresh flowers in the bathroom every day!

The location is fabulous as well. There are a lot of great little shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel!

There was only one little problem which I feel I must address - there is construction going on (I think next door) and it can be loud at times during the day. I'm not sure when that will be over. Even given that, I would stay at the Bobo again in a heartbeat!

I don't normally write reviews but because this was such a fantastic hotel I felt I wanted to. I was sorry I had only booked in for one night, probably the nicest and best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in. Hope it doesn;t get too popular though as its only little!
