We stayed two nights at this very cozy and cute hotel near the Recoleta district. It's very easy on the eyes and has a certain charm and character that help understand why it has such good ratings.

The room is not especially comfortable, being on the small side with a rather stiff bed. Even locked, the doors could easily be pushed in if someone had wrongdoing on his mind, but that didn't happen to us.

The hardest part to understand during our stay here occured right away. A young man showed us the room, we were satisfied, he brought the luggage. When I tried to tip him his response made me feel that I was trying to give him some used toilet tissue. It was certainly a look of disdain, and I started to withdraw the offering just as he decided to take it after all. I was very confused.

As guests of the Art Hotel who spent two glorious weeks in Buenos Aires, we find it unnecessary to repeat all the positive comments already posted by previous guests, However, we find it mandatory to finally name all the personnel from the front desk who fulfilled all our requests in a timely manner, assited us throughout our stay with insiders' hints and suggestions, and treated us all with world class profesionalism. Eduardo's name was already mentioned; the rest of the young men are Ezequiel, Ariel, Ivan, Michiel and Javier.
We thank them publicly for doing their jobs above our highest
expectations.

we stayed in the small and cozy room for $85 US a night. it was small but very functional. the art in the hotel is great, breakfest was good. beds, sheets, pillows were perfect. only complaint was the water pressure and lack of hot water. we were on the 4th floor so maybe that had something to do with it, but still it was pretty bad pressure for about 80% of our showers

We couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The location was within walking distance of many of the best shops and attractions in Buenos Aires. The staff always went above and beyond with their hospitality, courtesy, and suggestions for dining and entertainment. The hotal is very clean and secure, and we felt extremely safe during our stay. Our room overlooked the street and can sometimes have late street noise, especially on the weekend. It is nice to be able to open the doors and let the air in. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever experienced at a hotel. They served a complimentary breakfast, which was good enough to start our day. I highly recommend this hotel for women travelers.

  • Liked — comfortable bed

I loved this hotel. Recoleta is generally considered the best area in BA, with restaurants and shopping and lovely architecture nearby. This is sort of gallery hotel, with artists' paintings in the lobby and cafe areas -- these change often.

The manager, Eduardo Casazza, couldn't have been nicer. friendlier, or more helpful. He speaks almost fluent English.

The hotel is a nice mix of modern and traditional, and some rooms have canopy beds and balconies. Responding to another post, the rooms are not huge, but they are definitely not claustrophobia-inducing either.

And I agree with all of balata20's review, and suggest visiting San Antonio de Areco -- lovely traditional city -- and Patricia's services as well.

  • Liked — service, beauty
  • Disliked — not enought computers for internet, they are planning to get more
