This a friendly, pretty place...inexpensive, accessible to Art,, and a has a great location in a great neighborhood.

This place looked great on paper (screen) but our room was so small, we practically had to dive into the bed from the foot. The closet was a cage - really! And there was one drawer! We could not unpack. Another review characterized the staff as "helpful but not engaging," I think. This is totally accurate. We booked for 2 weeks, but moved in 2 days to a place where the room was 4 times the size, had 3 chairs (Art had zero) and an equally good location. Thumbs down.

We chose this hotel based on it's reasonable price...$95 per night, and favorable reviews....what a mistake! Had booked a 4 night stay but checked out after one night. Two major problems......air con basically did not function. Would run for 30-40 minutes and shut off. Room very warm, stuffy and musty smelling. Other problem was noise....hallway and room above. Room quite small and much in need of updating. Concrete floors and little room for luggage. Breakfast was OK. Front desk staff not very professional.....seemed detached and disinterested. Overall an unpleasant experience.

My husband and I stayed at the Art Hotel for 3 nights. Their rate was great, as they had a special where you paid for 2 nights and stayed 3 nights, $190 USD total for 3 nights. We stayed in a basic small and cozy room at the back of the hotel. Comfortable beds and quiet area, however the rooms are small, but we were well aware of this when we booked. They were also kind enough to keep our large suitcases for 2 days when we went to Iguazzu Falls, at no extra charge, and when we came back they had placed the luggage in our room for us. Every member of the staff was extremely helpful in recommending and arranging cabs, dining, tours and stores. Location is great, within walking distance to Recoletta Cemetery. Although the breakfast didn't include regular eggs, as stated in a previous review, there was a great selection of pastries, bread yogurt, cereal, cheese and fruit to choose from. Enough for a great start of our day.
