“Good for the price. Great location”

The hotel itself is pretty basic and the rooms small, but it´s made up for with a great location, and you can´t expect much more for the price really. You´re right in the centre of town - everything handy and even a good cheap pizza takeaway a few doors down. Everything works, they let you leave luggage etc and the porters are friendly. Only bad thing was the free internet never eventuated as someone was apparently always using the business centre. This wasnt too much of a problem as there are plently of cheap internet places around.

“Good luck at the Waldorf”

I stayed here for one night as part of a group tour. Thankfully, we moved for the second night...

From the other reviews, it sounds like some parts of the hotel are nicer than others. Maybe I was unlucky, but my issues were as follows:

Room was only big enough for a slim-ish double bed and a suitcase either side. Bathroom was quite grotty. (This I can cope with).

Room smelt badly of body odour. Then we found rogue hairs in the bed and bathroom. (This I cannot cope with).

Unfortunately, the hotel was at full capacity so we couldn't move. As it was, I already had to share a bed with somebody else in my tour, so we stuck it out and got out of there ASAP in the morning.

Let's say customer service was lacking somewhat too. The staff we had were generally uninterested when we checked in and even less interested when I had to trek back to the hotel the next day. The baggage they stored for me and my roomate had been put in the wrong locker and not transferred to our next hotel. Whatever the reason for this, I was then told by the receptionist that it would "take too long" to order a cab for me and I should just flag one down. So yeah, lugging two heavy rucksacks around BA in 30 degree heat wasn't too much fun. I'd have run a few blocks to get a cab and then pick my luggage up, but frankly I didn't want to leave it with them again.

To be fair, others in the group didn't seem to have as bad a time, but I'm afraid you couldn't persuade me to stay there again. Try the Rochester instead, would be my recommendation.

“Simply awful.”

I'm a bit flabbergasted at the good reviews. Yes, it was cheap, yes the location is great... that's it. The entrance lobby is beautiful, but once you get beyond that... dark, dingy, tiny room, a closet that would not close the door once you had hangers in without turning the hangers sideways!, terribly grotty, dirty bathroom, noisy rattling airconditioner, a bed that clearly had seen better days, linen that did not look particularly clean... as for breakfast, well, the coffee was good (as it is everywhere in BA) but after our first breakfast, even though it was included in our rate, we preferred to go down the road and get something edible every morning (we were there for 5 nights) even if it cost us aextra. Advertising on the website was blatantly false (for example the supposed 24-hour room service..!!)

I have stayed in all sorts of hotels, from cheapest budget in odd places to 5-star in major capitals, and I can honestly say this was the worst I have ever stayed- I wasn't expecting luxury, but i was expecting something basic and clean for the supposed 3 stars. Other than the coffee, I would put it even below my experience at Motel 6 in Orlando, and believe me, that was NOT a pleasant experience!

I agree with all guys saying that was crap. Not that bad, cause we were able to remain for 2 nights and even we came back for a third one. Dark and depressing are the words. Also there is a extremely remarkable problem, there is no fitting windows at that hotel. all windows are badly sealed, and on windy days, as we got, wind was cooling down the room, got to seal door with my luggage, no problem, cause there were no space to unpack but sealing the door.. We were less than 10ºC outside,so that was not funny at all. I did not check sheets , just get into the bed, I did not dare to do it. Horrible bath. Staff kind to us, but we speak Spanish.

Loved this hotel as a first time traveler to Buenos Aires we couldn't have asked for a better hotel! The price can not be beaten I dont think anywhere in the world (about $200/ 4 nights)

Great location about a block from Florida street and only a few blocks from the water front (puerto medero)

A great quick breakfast compliments of the hotel was served every morning, and there was also a really small great tasting pizza shop half a block away!

I would suggest this hotel to anyone traveling to buenos aires its a great stay for a great price!

The only suggestion i have is to keep your windows closed there are no screens on the windows and a bat....yes a bat flew into our room!!!
