This hotel is centrally located in the Micro Centro area. Their other hotel Aspen Towers is only steps away. Security is very good at this hotel. The hotel is locked at all times and there is a 24 hr doorman. This is a small hotel with a small bar and restaurant. To get to guest rooms you must use the elevator which only holds 3 people total. Our room was large and clean with a balcony overlooking the street. Rooms could use a facelift. It offered a kitchenette that included sink, refrigerator and stovetop. There was no instant coffee maker in the room or microwave. Staff was wonderful and very helpful giving us directions and also arranging for transportation. Continental breakfast was included and was good but room is small and gets crowded very fast. This hotel is a good price but more suited for business travelers. We got 1 free day of internet then had to pay for it from then on. Would probably stay at the Aspen Towers next time because it is larger, more updated and offers a pool.

I stayed here jsut before Christmas prior to flying to chile for my cruise and then after the cruise in january.
Very centrally located hotel close to calle Florida and handy to surrounding shops for groceries. Clean spacious room small kitchentte with basic utensils. Good bathroom and lovely scented soap.mmm.
Reception staff were excellent all were friendly and those that could converse in English were very helpful giving advice directions and on tours and where to go on Sunday like San Telmo market.
I was quoted a taxi price to go the airport and the hotel arranged the taxi. The taxi driver was horrible and aggressive charged me double and snatched some Us $1dollar notes. On return I told reception and they were horrified they said the company had to be honest if they wanted their cusom. They reported the day and time of pickup and what happened and had words with the manager. They arranged my taxi on the last day for departure to the airport for my flight home and while waiting in the foyer the phone rang it was the taxi manager responding to reception ...my ride to the airport was free as way of apology!!
I would very happily stay at Aspen Suites again and I recommend it . Its a lovely hotel.Nice breakfast too.

I stayed 3 nights at this hotels in march 2007. The hotel was in a good location, the breakfast was good ( the restaurant is small but ok). My room was very big ,2 beds,a table with 4 chairs,a small kitchen will all the suplays, sofa, closet . The bathroom is very old. The lift is old and small like other guests said and sometimes was not working what was a problem for me because i was in a high floor.
The recepcionists were ok. Not very kind with some guests. They were snob sometimes and not serious enough to treat guests.
Was strange make me leave an amount of money in the checkin. I've never been at a hotel that ask me to leave a credit card number or 40 dolares like a fund, and return after my stay. Everything was paid and i think it's not correct to the guests.
It's good enough, not that cheap for what they offer , but not the worse because sometimes in Buenos Aires you arrive at a hotel and have a terrible surprise, dirty rooms, old bathroons and dirty . The hospitallity industry seens to be very bad over there. The have to increse to compete with other countries like Chile and Brasil.

The hotel is not what I expected. The room is ok, but the heating system is awful and we had some difficult to finally have a good shower. One day we left our cellular at the room and when we got back, it had disappeared. The staff said we had to use the safe, but as a matter of fact this point was a bad aspect for us. The breakfast is quite simple and the people working were always in a bad mood. The elevator is tiny and always take a lot of time to arrive. Finally, the gym had a lot of thinks broken. For the price we paid, we believed it was not worthy.

“Aspen Suites”

Aspen Suites Hotel

Our travel agent made the hotel arrangements and Aspen Suites was the hotel selected. Location is good but at night you can feel somewhat isolated but we walked the streets and in general it was safe. It is close to all major attractions in the “microeentro” and 2-3 blocks from Florida Street. Reception ara is small staff is good, not excellent; some do their work well but not very friendly depending on the day shift. There is no restaurant in the premises and the vending machine was not working most of the time we stayed there. Breakfast was very limited and the area gets very crowded during peak hours close to 10 am. The elevators are very old and there is space for 2-3 persons without luggage, are noisy and very slow. The first night we got a very ugly room, not well furnished room with a worn out carpet and smelly. The bathroom faucets were not working well. We asked for a room change and our room condition markedly improved in all senses. There was no safe in the room but the hotel provides this service in the lobby area. I recognized this is a very tourist low budget hotel but I will stay somewhere else in our next trip to Buenos Aires.
