La Esquina Homero Manzi is in itself a piece of history in the old barrio of Boedo. Homero Manzi was a famous writer and intellectual of Buenos Aires. He is the author of major tango songs as "Sur" or "Malena" amongst others and La Esquina was his favourite place. The café is a pilgrim destination for tango lovers. In the night it provides good tango shows. The walls are covered by photos, drawings and paintings by famous Argentinian painters as Marta Minuhin. During the day the brasserie is frequented by people of the neighbourhood, real people, not turists. You can eat giant ice creams, medialunas and coffee specialities. I did not eat in the night but my Argentinian friends told me the food was very good.
