“Wonderful personalized service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

As an adult Euro couple living in New York, we stayed at Hub Porteno for long BA week-end beginning of April; it was a wonderful boutique hotel experience; staff immaculately attentive to personal service; be it in terms of room, food, ideas for excursions or tickets, restaurant reservations or transport arrangements. Every day the staff sat down with us to hear our thoughts about what we had in mind doing, then offered their suggestions or practical assistance. Concierge service very organized and helpful without being pushy in any way at all. We had three breakfasts and one dinner at restaurant; that too very nice. All worthwhile and very good value for money as an indulgent BA treat.

Room Tip: Our room, the suite on 1st floor, was large, decorated with wonderful mix of antique and modern furn...

I was in Buenos Aires for a business trip in April and I was looking for a good hotel, with great location and good service... Some friends recommended me the Hub Porteno and it was a phenomenal experience.
The hotel is located in Recoleta, within walking distance from restaurants, parks, museums, etc. Almost all my meetings were in down town and I could walk to them (30 to 45 minutes).
This is a real boutique hotel where you feel like you are the VIP guest. You are welcomed by the Manager on Duty, he/she knows your name and you are invited to seat in the living area. There is no front desk as this hotel and that makes you feel more "at home". If you need anything during your stay you just use the room phone instead of going down to the front desk.
The guestroom I had was very spacious will all the luxury amenities you will expect from a 5 star. Nice decor, functional for business trip. Good internet service and mini bar included.
The bathroom is tremendously spacious with high ceilings, double sinks, real hyrdo-massage bathtub, WC and bidet. The toiletries are first class.
The bed is very comfortable and you have daily turn-down service.
Restaurant serves three meals, breakfast is included and is "a la carte". Excellent food and refined service.
Fitness room is very complete and has big windows. On the same floor you will find the Spa and pool which is outdoors.

This is a great hotel. It has the spectacular service of a boutique hotel with the privacy of a private home. Even though you will be staying at one of 11 rooms, you will never feel like you are been watched or that you will not have privacy.
Even though I think this is a great hotel for leisure and business travel , I think it is a SPECTACULAR option for a couple's leisure trip to Buenos Aires.

Room Tip: Every room is different and every room will offer a good experience.

We stayed here for one night after the hotel that we had originally booked made a mistake with our reservation but this turned out to be a real blessing. This is a beautiful boutique hotel. When you first enter, it is as if you have entered the home of a wealthy family and as there was no reception desk, we were not sure where we should go. But we were quickly and warmly welcomed by two very charming ladies who offered us refreshments before showing us to our rooms. In the room was a personal note of welcome from the hotel manager attached to useful information about the hotel. We were travelling with another couple and we were given two adjoining rooms. The room we had was delightful and offered a mix of beautiful traditional furniture and modern comfort. The bathroom was fitted with twin washbasins, a huge bathtub with jacuzzi and a separate shower room. We loved the L'Occitaine toiletries, the thick white bathrobes and towels and the thoughtful addition of a rubber pillow for lounging in the bathtub. Our friends' room was similarly luxurious but quite differently designed and we learned later that each of the 11 guest rooms was appointed differently.
We were invited to have a drink on the roof terrace and we found a lovely open space with lots of flowering plants and inviting couches and armchairs. The hotel serves arternoon tea in the salon on the ground floor, another thoughtful and very pleasing touch.
When we went out to dinner, the hotel staff ordered a taxi for us and gave the driver directions to where we wanted to go and on our return, we found that our beds had been turned down and our wet towels and bathrobes had been replaced with fresh new ones. We had breakfast in the hotel and again, there was a touch of luxury in the way the breakfast dishes that we ordered were presented.
The Hub Porteno is situated on a quiet side street in Recoleta, within easy walking distance to the shops and to different embassy buildings.
Apart from the beautiful rooms, the good food and the sheer luxury of the place, what makes this place special is the personal approach of the staff, the warmth of their interaction with their guests and the attention to every little detail to ensure our comfort. Our only regret was that our stay was too short and we would certainly come back to this hotel again.

We stayed at the Hub Porteno for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon travels through Brazil and Argentina. We absolutely loved our stay here! The quiet street metres from Avenida Alvear, the old world architecture, the homely yet very luxurious feel - it is one of those hotels which will remain in your memories as a highlight of your trip. The staff are exceptional, always helping out with every little need or question, whether it be before, during or after the stay. You feel like special guests in a grand home, right down to the quaint little feature of having no reception desk. The breakfasts too were amazing, and we loved the option of having breakfast brought to our room. This hotel is a hidden gem, one which you almost want to keep as your little secret! A truly special hotel experience!

If you like stylish boutique hotels, this may be the best ever.

11 rooms, beautiful rooftop terrace with lounges/sofas, outdoor shower to cool off, ceiling fans, fountain, lovely plantings

Hotel decor is a mix of antique and contemporary but celebrates Argentinian sources: leather headboards, incredible long hair cattle laser cut rugs. Our room (suite) had a walk in closet with his/her sides. Bath had his/her sinks, toilet/bidet room, largest & best jacacuzi tub I've ever seen in a hotel with a little pillow to rest your head while soaking. There is a separate shower room with overhead plus side adjustable jets.

Flowers throughout room...and in hallwAy. The hall wall was covered with beveled mirror panels and had small crystal flower vases built in. Elevator is leather lined

Hotel has good workout room - cardio and weights - and a massage room.

Entry is very unobtrusive...down a marble hall to lobby which is really like a living room. No check in desk

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was they weren't too good with directions...in their OWN city! Was given 3 locations for the Malba museum and we never found one restaurant they recommended. There is a restaurant in/connected to hotel... But while it provides breakfast (VERY quick room service), it is a restaurant in its own right.

Value? This was booked as part of a bigger trip so I don't know what it cost but I am quite sure it was expensive. But - if you can afford it and you like these types of small contemporary personal hotels- you will definitely NOT be disappointed

My only complaint: we stayed here before catching flight back to US so had a late check out (530 pm). After our room service breZkfast, we went out for the day and returned at 4 to shower and pack. The room had not been tidied. At these prices, I would think they could have provided fresh towels and removed breakfast dishes.....

A truly remarkable property! From the moment we arrived, we were treated as special guests, almost as members of the family. The hotel itself is stunning - the design and decor spectacular. Martin and Sarah, part of the Hub Porteno team, did everything they could to make our first visit to Buenos Aires truly special and memorable. From sightseeing advice to dinner recommendations to making sure we took sunscreen when we were out walking. Really special. The breakfasts were delicious and special. What a wonderful experience. Absolutely, positively one of the best, if not the best, hotels we've ever stayed on. Can't say enough good things. We look forward to having the opportunity to return.

Room Tip: All of the rooms, while different, are terrific.

We were thrilled with how stunning the hotel is and how lovely the service is. Because the hotel is small, they value taking care of each guest and providing everything needed--from a personal afternoon snack to flamingo tickets. The decor is stunning, and everything is brand new. I would definitely say this is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed and I'm an extensive traveller. The food is also delicious, and I'd highly recommend the restaurant. The hotels moto is that it is supposed to feel like home, and it certainly feel like a more luxurious home.

Room Tip: All rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. We had two rooms, each was unique
