We arrived at the hotel at 3AM on a Saturday morning for a 9 night stay that had been booked through a major online service. Stupidly, I arrived without having a printout of the reservation confirmation, and discovered that they had no record of our reservation. Fortunately, the front desk clerk was able to identify a clerical error at the hotel and quickly fixed things and prepared the room for us. We were surprised how small the quadruple room was - the floor was completely covered with beds, leaving very little room to maneuver around. Some reorganization fixed this up, but the room was far smaller than it appeared in the photos on the web. The English speaking front-desk staff were a godsend to us - we had many travel arrangements and activities to book, and they helped us enormously and always courteously. The morning breakfasts are good quality and are available between 7 and 11am. The hotel doesn't operate a bar or restaurant at any other time of day. The first couple of mornings, we managed to miss the breakfast timeslot, but we found a Starbucks a short walk away on Belgrano. Hotel Two is located in a historic business district of downtown BA. This means that evenings and weekends, stores and restaurants in the immediate area pretty much shut down. Weekdays, it becomes extremely busy. The hotel is well-situated for convenient access to things like the Buquebus terminal (for bus and boat access) and Jorge Newberry Aeroparque. Organized tours and activities will pick up and drop off at the hotel, and the hotel staff is happy to provide information and book these for you. We booked a tango dinner through them - make sure that the price is made clear at the time the booking occurs. The hotel obtains a discounted rate for events, but tango restaurant will quite cheerfully charge you full price when you arrive. Forewarned is forearmed. The area feels reasonably safe at night, but precautions should always be taken in Buenos Aires. For transportation to Ezeiza, make sure you arrange it through the hotel - they will get you a better rate (guaranteed) than the metered taxi fares. I'm not sure if the "taxi" we got was licensed (there was no meter), but it was clean and comfortable with a huge trunk and the price was as advertised.
I highly recommend this hotel - it is clean, comfortable (but rooms are small), and has free wifi as well as computers in the lobby with internet access. Printing is a bit awkward - you need to send an email to the front desk with the information you need to print. This can be challenging if your boarding pass isn't sent in email by the airline. If the rooms were a bit larger, this would be a 5 star rating - but I'm sure the price would be higher.
