Last 14th March, we had the luck to stay at the Claridge Hotel to spend our wedding night.
Since the moment you arrive you are going to be amazed for this this "British style gem" in the middle of a crowed city as Buenos Aires.
Room: All the suites has different English names, such as Essex, Kent and our was Windsor Suite. We don't have words enough to describe it, its magnificent, with a luxurious living, plenty of space, lovely room, bathroom with jacuzzi and walk-in shower... the balcony was mega big...everything is settled with a touch of class, including our wedding gifts!
Bar/Restaurant: the breakfast was fantastic, with plenty options and the newspaper comes in a bag with a sticker on it with the weather forecast and wishing you a good day! That is what the Claridge is all about, little things that makes you feel special, as a rush birthday cake for my husband, candle included in less than ten minutes to surprise him!! Thumbs up for the bar staff!!! The bar/restaurant downstairs is very good, great drinks at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing.
Staff: Helpful, polite and they speak perfect English!
Location: It is close to almost everything and taxis fares are very affordable to everywhere, like a ride to Caminito (La Boca) cost us les than £1!!!
In conclusion, we’ll definitely go back! The Claridge was the perfect ending of our perfect Wedding Day!, and it has it all: class, service, a warm welcome and simplicity with an elegant touch!

Location is good, but my major issue was the beds. A four star hotel(or any hotel) should provide something better than a mushy double bed. Room is very small, bathroom small but adequate. If you are under 5'10", you might be o.k. with the bed. I haven't seen a hotel in the U.S with a double bed in a long, long time, and never one that cost over $40. U.S.

We stayed at the Claridge for 5 nights and found it a perfect fit for us! The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was included each morning. The concierge staff were very helpful with coordinating tours for us. We felt secure with the front door staff being there for security and hailing radio taxis as well as with our travel documents locked in the safe, which was provided. We appreciated the pool area to relax after busy days sightseeing. The location, we felt, was very central and convenient.

We stayed at the Claridge for three nights at the beginning of January, 2006.

From the moment we walked in the doors we knew we had found a great hotel. The lobby is stately and very British-clubby, and the concierge service is stellar--they gave us lots of great recommendations on shopping, dining, and were very helpful at checking our luggage during our last day. The pool & terrace on the fourth floor was a nice oasis in the middle of the city, and the spa and fitness areas were top-notch. I had a great massage for about $15. We were even allowed to spend the afternoon at the pool after we checked out, which we took full advantage of.

Our room was small but very nicely decorated in a traditional British style. The bathroom looked newly renovated with green marble. Ample closet space, and the best part was the cell phone you could rent during your stay--incoming phone calls were free and outgoing calls were the same rate as landline calls.

The location is 1 block west of the Galerias Pacifico Mall and the pedestrian shopping area--VERY central; we walked everywhere. Overall, we loved our stay and we'd definitely go back!

Service is great since you arrive. Good Room, Bathroom with all you need, Excellent Breakfast included in the room rate, Staff very helpfull. Located in a busy commercial area (close to Florida Street), but taxi is so inexpensive that you are able to visit everything you want spending a few dollars. But pay attention:take only Radio Taxis. They have the name printed in the doors and the telephone number on the top. I've seen a Tango Show at Cafe Tortoni, very traditional and not too much touristy. Food and Wine are the best of Buenos Aires. Ask for Bife de Chorizo or Bife de Lomo at LOOK(on Costanera),Estilo Campo (Puerto Madero)and Piegari(Recoleta). If you like Ice-Cream, VOLTA is best I've eaten in all my life. They have a shop on Avenida Santa Fe, around number 1800, close to a beautifull El Ateneo library, famous because it was the Municipal Teather before being remodeled as a library.
