We have tried a couple of hotels in BA. This one worked well for us. Very few hotels in central BA have a pool. This one did and it was open (most of those with pools close them from around April on). We have used others with pools, but the pools are closed all the time.

Like most of the central BA hotels, the rooms here need some upgrading to replace worn wall coverings and such. But, the hotel was clean and in as good or better shape than the other name brand hotels we have tried in the area.

The bed sheets could use some improvement, but the bathrooms were in good shape and had great water pressure.

The hotel bar was convenient and comfortable.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

We will definitely return on our next trip.

Very nice, clean old-fashioned kind of place. Had a very European feel. Room was a little small, but nicely furnished. Very clean. Maids were around all day. They got a decent breakfast buffet. Service was excellent. Concierge and other staff went out of their way to help. Internet access was great and free. They had a nice business center with three computers for those without a laptop. Within walking distance to many touristy things, restaurants and the subway.

Claridge´s is located near the madness that is Florida St but you wouldnt know this inside. Our room was very small but had a really comfy bed. Free internet access was great and the bar is really nice. The only downfall was that my first experience of argentinian steak was in their restuarant and it really didnt live up to it´s reputation!

We recently spent 8 days in Buenos Aires - all at the Hotel Claridge. The location was a little too downtowny for our tastes - very busy narrow streets, but the hotel was excellent. It was particularly nice to come back after a hot day of sightseeing (it was hot even in late March) and climb into a beautiful pool with all that goes with it.

The hotel itself is very nice and our room facing the pool and in the back of the hotel was totally quiet. The room was not especially large and the bathroom was tiny. Service was very prompt and friendly. The breakfast was extensive though it often seemed a bit hectic.

All in all, an excellent hotel that would be even better if it was located in Recoleta or Palermo.
