We stayed at the Claridge for 3 nights and were very pleasantly surprised with our accommodations and the excellent location. We were able to walk to the main sights. As the temperatures were quite hot for a couple of the days we were there in January, the pool was a welcome respite after sightseeing and shopping. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was excellent and VERY reasonable.

The only negative, if I had to come up with one, is that the bath was oddly layed out and a little on the small side, but our room was quite spacious and comfortable. We had a corner room with windows overlooking the pool and toward the obelisk.

  • Liked — Location, restaurant, service
  • Disliked — smallish bath

This is a beautiful hotel in a super location. Staff were very friendly and booked a number of trips for us. We ate in the bar the first night and our food was excellent and so cheap!
Would definitely go back there again.
Again, like all places in SA, you really should bring a travel iron with you as the Claridge have to send your items out to be pressed and this can take 24 hours!

We stayed 3 nights on the Claridge Hotel. We found the front desk staff to be arrogant and unhelpful (and we speak spanish, so language was not an issue). The location of the hotel is not desirable. It is near Florida street, which is a pedestrian shopping street. The street is full of people trying to get you into their stores, street performers and beggars. On a previous trip, we stayed in Recoleta, which is a much nicer neighborhood. The rate was good, but I would not stay here again.

  • Liked — Cleanliness
  • Disliked — Noise from street

The rooms are fairly roomy, but oh so British in decor. It was all pink and green and very 80s. The breakfast buffet was impressive. For Buenos Aires, it was a good deal and only a short walk to the pedestrian shopping areas of Florida and Lavalle.
The business center only had three computers that were monopolized by children. They would do themselves a favor by setting some kind of time limitation on usage.

  • Liked — Very clean and comfortable room
  • Disliked — Business center
