Puerto Madero is a great shopping and dining district in buenos aires. the outdoor mall is right on the river which is very scenic at night. During the day we went shopping and had some very pleasant meals. There is plenty of security so we felt safe. On frommers we read about a restaurant named Cabana las lillas which is supposedly the best "parilla" in buenos aires. With such a great article about this restaurant we decided to make this place a definite stop. The restaurant I must say is beautiful, it is right on the river and it is very upscale. The "parilla" grill is enclosed in glass allowing the guests to see the food being prepared. The service was also great. Now...the food. Our party had seven guests, not one of the main courses was even decent. The steak was so hard and veiny that I had to end up leaving half of it! (and I am talking about the filet mignon). The meal for seven was only $175 dollars (incl. wine, beer, dessert) other than the ambiance I would have had more quality food at Burger King!
