“Up and coming”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

As the title suggests, it's up and coming but not there yet. Old warehouses and buildings are still being renovated and the prices are as high as anywhere in Buenos Aires. Trendy, expensive restaurants line the riverwalk and even though it's a little out of the way, it's a nice place to have a late dinner. (See my review of Cabana Las Lilas).

“Reminiscent of Butlers Wharf (London), Darling Harbour (Sydney), but with the sophistication of Barcelona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Reminiscent of Butlers Wharf (London) and Darling Harbour (Sydney), but with the sophistication of Barcelona.
Home to restaurants, bars and cafes. Mixed residential and offices. Location of the Buenos Aires Hilton.
No traffic, clean and safe.
A great place to sit outside and watch the world go by ... walkers, joggers, roller bladers. Loved it there!

“Modern and clean, but expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

Puerto Madero is the newest neighborhood in Buenos Aires and you can tell. Everything is super shiny and clean but also super expensive. This area was designed to be a luxury zone, though it's definitely not yet reached full capacity. Most days its possible to walk across a four lane road without more that a quick glance both ways. Its a super nice and relaxed spot to take a walk or rent roller skates to check out the boardwalk along the canal. Also gives you easy access to the Reserva Ecologica, which is a great way to get into nature without actually having to travel far.

“Like the best piers in the world!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

If you liked visiting the piers in San Francisco and New York, you must go to Puerto Madero if you go to Buenos Aires. Is safe, beautiful and has some of the best Restaurants in town. Is a great mix of architectures with the old brck buildings and the brand new resiential towers being built. Great place for business or to visit with the family.
