“Grreat retaurants”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

A gresat place to find a large variety of restaurants. An evening stroll along the waterfront is a relaxing way to walk off a wonderful meal.

“Nice new part of town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Down by the harbour is a new and modern part of BA. It is a very nice area to walk around and if you are not on a budget then the restuarants and bars along the harbour will oblige your appetite. Some very nice places to eat and drink!

“Restaurants galore!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Puerto Maduro is located at the waterfront. Many restaurants and a few old sailing frigates are located there. Also, there is a casino that I did not visit is located at Puero Maduro. Taxis are a bargain in Buenos Aires. The exchange rate during our visit was about 5.4 pesos to the dollar.

“A brilliant urban renewal project”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

This is a great district to stroll through, and if you have time, for a meal or a drink. One one side of the wide canal are the renovated 19C red brick buildings, full of restos and bars, many with attractive outdoor areas. On the other side are high-end modern buildings (including the Hilton Hotel). Connecting them is one of the world's most beautiful foot bridges. For history buffs, there are traces of the old port (e.g. scenic cranes frozen in time) AND 2 historic ships of the Argentine Navy, now floating museums (with v.v. inexpensive entrance fees); made in England, but this little fact is not mentioned...

“Great restaurants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

There are a ton of good restaurants to choose from in this area and it is a nice place to walk around. Would strongly suggest grabbing an ice cream at Freddo... It is expensive but some of the best ice cream I have ever had!
