“So much to see!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Sunday is the main day where you will find all the artesan street sellers displaying their wares on the pavements and in the little squares. Best to take cash if you want to buy a bargain as few take credit cards. There is so much to see and choose from!

walking around San Telmo on a Sunday is one of those must-do things in Buenos Aires, the market, the people, the food..

“Try going midweek for a pleasant stroll!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012 via mobile

I went on a Wednesday and was afraid of missing the Sunday market. But I found it very enjoyable to have a leisurely stroll without a lot of people. The artisans and shop owners actually conversed with us in a friendly way. Probably my favorites were la defense, the San telco mercado, plaza santo Domingo and an awesome vintage shop off of plaza San Domingo. Enjoy!

A different part of buenos aires with boutique shops and lots of antiques available. Great place to hang around at night on weekends. Lovely fair in sunday mornings.

“If you like antique fairs, you'll like this”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

I'm a little.... so-so when it comes to antique fairs. But I decided to go to San Telmo regardless, and it was definitely enjoyable. There are a lot of historic houses in the area (albeit a bit run down), and miles and miles of stalls on Defensa. The plaza itself is also crammed packed. It's the fairly standard antiques fair stuff - I'm not entirely sure if there was anything particularly unique or different.
