First of all, the location is excellent. The hotel is located on Avenida Cordoba between Calle Esmeralda and Calle Suipacha. Calle Florida and the Galleria Pacifico are about two blocks east on Cordoba. The Buquebus office (the company that runs the ferry and hydrofoil to Uruguay) is right across the street.

The hotel itself is in okay condition. We had a room on the tenth floor. Some of the drawbacks include teeny-tiny beds and an air conditioner that didn't work sometimes. The hallways off the elevator are really narrow. There were problems with the cable at times during our stay. It was also pretty noisy, since Avenida Cordoba is a major street.

Some of the front desk staff were more helpful than others. There isn't a hotel restaraunt, but there are a ton of restaraunts, cafes, pizzarias, and convenience shops around the hotel on Avenida Cordoba.

Although not a luxury hotel, given its location, it is a good deal.

Simply the worst hotel in buenos aires.
Formerly a best western member, but NO MORE. They still have some Best Western logos in the elevators and lobby. Begining with the lobby, the A/C doesnt work, no bellboys, just one consierge to receive you.

Y payed 60 U$ for night for a 20 U$ real value.

Bad Service, ugly, old and bad mantainde rooms. The refrigerator is from 30 years ago, a gas moved water heather, that doesnt work, so NO WARM WATER., the room a/c is from the 70[s and doesnt work for all the apartment (is located in a mini-room AND DOESNT COVER THE ENTIRE ROOM), the bathroom is like a closet, not two people inside at the same time. THE MATRESSES AND THE PILLOWS are the worst in the world. OLD TOWELLS WITH BIG HOLES.

The breakfast? FORGET ABOUT IT, better buy a bottle of Orange juice and cookies.

I TOOK IT BECAUSE ALL THE OTHERS WERE FULL.

NEXT TIME I PREFFER TO SLEEP IN A HOMELESS SHELTER.

This is a basic hotel in a good location. Just a few blocks to Calle Florida, Theatre Colon and movie theatre street (movies for $2 US). The area does not feel comfortable to walk after midnight but lots of day traffic Monday - Friday.
Staff is friendly, speaks English and helpful. Arranged our Tango tickets to a great show (Sr. Tango). Complimentary breakfast included hard boiled eggs, ham & cheese, croissants, toast, jam, tea, coffe, water, orange juice, whole apples and oranges.
Hotel rooms have small refridgerator, hot plate with tea kettle, small kitchen sink, small vanity area, no desk.
Yet, the walls were a bit thin - had this problem everywhere in B.A. But, you didn´t here street noise, just a neighbor snoring sometimes. The room was small. The window looked out onto a grimy, dirty area that all the windows faced each other on. If you leave your curtain open you could likely wave to your neighbor. The beds felt like foam mattresses and I seriously thought my pillow was a slab of cheap foam someone stuffed in a pillowcase. I actually checked to see if it really was a pillow. Reading lambs were attached to the headboards and kept falling on my head. We had to disassemble so we wouldn´t hit them at night. The shower is very small, think motorhome.
This is a clean, basic hotel with a helpful staff in a good location for tourists. Just don´t expect too much from the room. More a place to just sleep,a bit uncomfortably, and keep some snacks and juice in the refrigerator.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights at this Best Western Embassy in August 2005. The exterior of the building is not very inviting and the rooms tend to be small, but our stay was not that bad at all. If you want more comfort and luxury, you should be prepared to pay much more in Buenos Aires. The people at the front desk speak English and have been very helpful in many ways. If you want to take tours of the city or any others there might be, the hotel staff will gladly arrange them for you and you will be picked up at the hotel and dropped off at the end of the tours. The city tour is highly recommended and is well worth the money. For $10 per person you get to see the most imporant things of the city which chances to get off and take pictures or look around for yourself. It takes you to San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero, Recoletta and Retiro. The hotel rate includes breakfast, which is from 7 to 10 am and consists mainly of toast, croissants and hard-boiled eggs. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are plenty of good restaurants just minutes away. The location of the hotel is great, being only 2 blocks from Florida street and 3 or so from Av 9 de Julio. It is withing walking distance to Recoletta or the Buquebus terminal (if you plan to take a trip to Uruguay). Granted you might be a little disappointed with the lack of luxury at this hotel, but if you plan to spend time seeing the city and the area and not hanging out at the hotel, it's not a bad place.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. If it were not for the fact I arrived so late at night I would have changed hotels immediately. The room I had was not very clean and had a terrible smell. The bed sheets had a few dubious stains and the carpet was also so stained that I dared not walk in my bare feet!! The only good thing about this hotel is its location.
