“greatly exceeds expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Within the category of 3-star business hotels, this hotel greatly exceeds expectations. I stayed there for 5 straight nights and highly recommend it.
The location of the hotel is superb being steps from Puerto Madero, ferry terminal, Florida St, Subway station, shopping mall etc. The views from my room were spectacular overlooking the ferry terminal and harbour.
Check-in and Check-out were a breeze and the front staff were very friendly and attentive.
The room was spotless and clean. Everything worked well in the room. Room service was regular and efficient.
The breakfast was adequate. There was lots of fruits, and fresh pastries. Some meats. I would have like to see more egg types like hard-boiled, than just scrambled.
There was no restaurant on-site or room service, but that is standard given the hotel's category of business 3-star (hence, "Express").
I would definitely go to this hotel if I go to Buenos Aires again.

The hotel and staff are quite good. The hotel is walkable to the buquebus terminal, which runs fast catamarans to Uruguay, so it has a terrific location for those trips.
I object to the hotel's charge of a half day, with taxes, for staying beyond checkout time. This turns a fair price for the hotel into a fairly expensive stay for comparable hotels in Buenos Aires.
On the positive side, it is also close to Puerto Madero and to Calle Florida.

A good, clean, comfortable hotel consistent with the HI Express model. The front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We arrived off a cruise at 930 AM and were promptly given a room.

Location is good, within easy walking distance to Florida street (Gallerias Pacifico) and Plaza San Martin and not too far to Plaza Mayo.
Everything functioned as required including the WiFi.
The breakfast buffet is average but satisfactory.
Front desk provided an adapter plug on request.

Room Tip: Rooms on the port side of the hotel are bright with a nice view

With a 12 hour wait at buenos aires airport this little hotel was exactly what we needed. You can book at the arrivals hall at the airport and a car picked us up and took us straight there. Check in was quick, the room was clean and aside from getting the wrong wake up call 4 hours too early everything else was fine.

is a very good hotel, excellent price, close to everything, however to walk at night could be a little "isolated" and you might exercise caution. I've seen homeless and people asking for money on the street on our way to the hotel.
Although I stayed in a luxury hotel in Puerto Madero itself (not american) the holiday inn beats any luxury national brand, like in any other parts of the world, american chains hotel far exceed the most luxurious domestic hotels with its expected american amenities that we are so used to.
In american chains hotel we already know what to expect and that can not be beat.

Even though hotel is fairly good located (walking distance of Puerto Madero) the poor quality of the hotel, its limited service and immediate surroundings make it a complete NO for me. It doesn't compare to any of the other HIExpress I have stayed throughout cities like Mexico and Bogota in any way. Unfortunately do not recommend.

I've spent one night in this hotel and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a nice location and walking distance from a lot of attractions, including Puerto Madero.

My teammates and I arrived from a red-eye international flight in the morning and I was so glad that they managed to find a room for each of us right away. However, I was put in a smoking room, when my reservation specifically requested non-smoking. Had to go back to front desk to resolve it since the smell was not tolerable for me, which they quickly did. Front desk was always friendly and willing to help. The first smoking room I was given faced front so it had a better view. The ones facing the city force you to look at an apartment building that stands really close. Avoid that if possible. They had a simple but okay breakfast.
