We had a very pleasant stay at the Buenos Aires Hilton. If possible, get the club level. They are very attentive and the breakfasts are wonderful.
Buenos Aires is a fun vacation for a family with teenagers.

Excellent location in Puerto Madero. 5 pesos from the Casino and you only have to walk outside to eat at the many restaurants on offer. The gym is top notch and has like 25 new machines, you can get everything you want at this hotel. I am a Hilton Gold VIP and was given 5 star treatment. Buffet Breakfast was best i have ever had in Latin America. Make sure you get there early as i turned up one day at 9pm and had to wait 10 mins before being seated. Coffee is good too.
My experience at the Hilton Buenos Aires did not match the descriptions below when I stayed there from February 25th to March 1st. We were not able to get into our hotel room until 5:00 p.m. having arrived at the hotel at 10:00 am. The hotel knew we were coming as we had arranged for a Hilton car to pick us up at the airport. So a note of caution, while some do receive early check-in, a very late check-in is possible. The first room we were given was on the second floor facing construction. In this room there was even a charge for the coffee, tea, and water. After much discussion, we were moved at 7:30 pm to a room on the 7th floor which was fine, but it had been a long day. It may be those on a tour receive better service. In my case even having Hilton Gold status did not help. However, the hotel location while out of the way is attractive and one of the best Argentine restaurants—Cabana Las Lilas is only a few blocks away. The breakfast buffet has fresh fruit, omelets cooked to order and an amazing selection of breads and pastries. So once, we were settled, the hotel proved to be very satisfactory.
We recently stayed at the Buenos Aires Hilton just prior to our boarding a cruise around Cape Horn. We spent a few extra dollars for the "executive floor" but was it ever worth the extra money. Most flights from the U.S. arrive early morning into Buenos Aires and I had concerns about an early check in. Not to worry with the Hilton. We were greeted upon our arrival by name, our room was ready and we actually had time for a complimentary breakfast.... all before 11am. In addition to a daily breakfast, the rate included afternoon tea with many desserts and a wonderful cocktail hour with enough food to skip dinner if you so wish. Location was excellent for many restruants within walking distance and shopping was very close by. Best of all was the close location to the cruise terminals.
Hotel is in the Puerto Madero neighborhood, which is patrolled by the naval police so it is extremely safe here. Lots of good restaurants in easy walking distance.
During my stay there were two separate groups of 150 teenage schoolgirls coming and going. They kept me up all night running around the hallways, knocking on doors, opening and closing doors. Earplugs helped. Hotel security seemed to have a better control of the situation the second night.
Large tour groups aside, this hotel is very good. Typical Hilton international quality. Restaurant is overpriced, especially breakfast.
