My experience at the Hilton Buenos Aires did not match the descriptions below when I stayed there from February 25th to March 1st. We were not able to get into our hotel room until 5:00 p.m. having arrived at the hotel at 10:00 am. The hotel knew we were coming as we had arranged for a Hilton car to pick us up at the airport. So a note of caution, while some do receive early check-in, a very late check-in is possible. The first room we were given was on the second floor facing construction. In this room there was even a charge for the coffee, tea, and water. After much discussion, we were moved at 7:30 pm to a room on the 7th floor which was fine, but it had been a long day. It may be those on a tour receive better service. In my case even having Hilton Gold status did not help. However, the hotel location while out of the way is attractive and one of the best Argentine restaurants—Cabana Las Lilas is only a few blocks away. The breakfast buffet has fresh fruit, omelets cooked to order and an amazing selection of breads and pastries. So once, we were settled, the hotel proved to be very satisfactory.
