The Hilton Buenos Aires in Puerto Madero was one of the best things about our recent trip to Buenos Aires, and is completely modern and gorgeous in every way. From its top notch service, beautiful lobby (with wine bar adjacent), and wonderful multi-lingual staff, it’s a fabulous oasis retreat at the end of a heavy-walking day. The wonderful concierge staff was happy to check status on our lost luggage, and to make multiple dinner and tour reservations for us during the week we were there. Our room was spacious, modern, scrupulously clean, and well-appointed. We had a lovely full bath, with plenty of marble on the single-sink countertop and all around, separate alcove for toilet and bidet with its own door, roomy marble-accented shower (again, with its own door), and good-sized tub with bath accessories. Inside the large room, there was a wide, low armoire with a mirror above which housed a refrigerated mini-bar on one side and shelves on the other. The room also contained a very comfortable king-sized bed, decent-sized TV, large desk (with internet hookup for $20 per day) and a table for two next to the large window overlooking the city and waterway (perfect for enjoying a room service breakfast). All of the hotel food we enjoyed was wonderful, and our service was unrelentlingy impeccable over the course of our seven-night stay.
Puerto Madero is a cool location for visitors. There are many fine restaurants within walking distance if you don't want to go too far after a long day. It's also less than a $5 cab ride to anywhere else in the city you might want to go. Two of the best meals we had in Buenos Aires were just steps away from the Hilton's doors... Cabana Las Lilas and Il Gran Caruso. Check them out if you go...especially Il Gran Caruso. Muy Yum!
