Where do I start with this fantasticcc hotel? Lets start from the beginning. I'll give as much information as possible! First upon arrival, we flew from ATL so it was very early in the morning, my family was a little groggy, but upon arrival, just the sight of the Hilton was amazing! That alone, woke us up out of our sleepy state. Yes, it was the fantastic atrium, the sunlight, the pleasant faces etc.. We took a Remis from Ezeiza to the Hilton and we were greeted upon arrival, I couldn't even believe how fast they got my bags and escorted myself and my family to the concierge! I had previously seen other TA reviews that they somehow weren't accommodating to travelers who arrive early in the morning? I wonder about that, because we were there at 8am, and Silvina was so nice and helpful and got us rooms that were side by side. Mind you, we did NOT stay in executive rooms. However, the rooms, were spacious, I'd even say bigger than European standards, and I've traveled enough to see how rooms vary. Comfy beds, Samsung Flat Screens & Spacious Bathroom. If there was anything that I needed the concierge had no problem bringing an extra adapter, or newspaper...whatever it might have been. And, it was always there in a prompt (key word) prompt manner!! They were always happy to recommend restaurants that we were interested in. You receive complementary 15 minutes per person per room computer access. I was on vacation so I just checked email, to make sure my dog was ok, and that was it. Don't spend too much time in there, because they will GET YOU if you stay more than the 15 minutes. But then again, you should be sightseeing right? We finally made it to the gym on the last day, and that was a very very nice gym! It's better than my RECenter! State of the art machines, with a personal trainer there (bilingual of course) to help you. At the end of our session, we were served orange juice. Interesting & nice touch I might say. The hotel is very close to Darsena Norte, which is where you can take the ferry over to Uruguay if you so please. The only well, you can call it a con, (if you want) is that the closest metro station is about a 15 minute walk and then add waiting 5 minutes at major traffic intersections. But that provided my family with some much needed exercise. If you don't want to walk, the hotel will get a taxi for you, and it costs 10 pesos to go to the city center, that's like $3US and some change for a whole cab. All the restaurants are very close by. Overall, this has been the best hotel that I have stayed at abroad. The service was superb, and it really made it a great place to come back and relax after long days trekking around Argentina and Uruguay! Great Job and thanks for making our family vacation the best one yet!!!!

Fantastic hotel, fantastic service. Upgraded to an executive room but alcohol only served in lounge for 2 hours in evening.
I loved this hotel! Set on the marina with easy access to bars and restuarants.

II stayed 4 days at the Hilton in May. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers. The location is really good in Puerto Madero (not as entertaining as Palermo, but close enough to it).
The rooms are comfortable and nice and have a nice view (particularly ton the higher floors). The lobby is magnificent as well.
They have some great amenities: a state of the art gym, a wonderful lounge for Hilton honors guests, etc.
A couple of complaints though: the Wi-Fi is ridiculously expensive and the folks at the front desk could me more courteous and professional. I have to say that the Lounge staff was very efficient and courteous though. I will definitely go back there.

The Hilton Buenos Aires is a very nice hotel in the Puerto Madero district of Buenos Aires. Except for a bad experience at check in, this is a very nice hotel. However, bring money because the food and the internet access are not inexpensive.

The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. There is a large walk in closet, with a safe which is large enough to hold a laptop computer. The bathroom was large and comfortable, although it was easy to have water flow out under the shower door if you were not careful. There was a large work / sitting area. Overall a very comfortable room.

The hotel is adjacent to the Puerto Madero waterway and an easy walk to a number of topnotch although touristy restaurants. As I was there on business, I did not walk into the center of the city, although I suppose one could do that if one wanted to dodge traffic.

A few words of warning:
1. Internet access is not inexpensive. The rate per day was approximately $20 US.

2. Breakfast prices were high if one went to the restaurant. There is a pastry shop in the lobby which offers a less costly alternative. I typically eat cold cereal for breakfast, and the only way I could figure out how to do that was to order the full buffet breakfast, which was 95 pesos. That is outlandish for a bowl of cereal and juice. If anyone has any suggestions, please advise. However, my Spanish was not good enough, nor was the waiter's English good enough to figure out any other option.

As noted, I had a bad check in experience. I was arriving in the morning on an overnight flight from the US. We had reserved rooms the night before so they would be waiting for us on arrival. However, because we had not called the hotel in advance and told them we were arriving the following morning, they gave away our rooms and charged us a no show fee. They did hold the reservation for the remaining nights however. On the whole, it felt like a heads they win, tails I lose type experience.

Additionally, the hotel does not exchange money. This may be typical of all Argentine hotels, as this was my first trip to Argentina. However, it was a surprise to me, as most full service hotels in touristy / international travel locations offer this service. They do offer to advance you money on a credit card at a 5% fee. Word to the wise: exchange money at the airport.

The Hilton Buenos Aires is located in the redeveloped Puerto Madero docklands area. It is a wonderful area quite unlike any other part of the city with exceptional eating places and the new Fortobat Art Museum. This means, of course, that it is slightly detached from the rest of the city centre and the sights there, which might not be ideal for a tourist.

The hotel is very impressive with an incredible central atrium with several eateries. I had a fantastic room with walk-in closet, business desk and - first time in South America - tea and coffee making facilities. There is a business centre that offers good internet access with the first 10 minutes free of charge, although I was a bit annoyed to be charged AR$1 for printing a single sheet of paper.

The breakfast was very good. The main letdown at the hotel was the staff attitude. They were undoubtedly well trained and efficient, but lacked warmth and friendliness.

Overall, the Hilton is exceptionally high quality and offers a memorable stay, but be sure that the location is right for your visit to the city.
