“If I could give a negative score, I would”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

Horrible, horrible hotel. Nothing works here, and this is not an exaggeration. I stayed here for 2 nights and did not manage to open the door to my room once. The key was always not working or the lock ran out of batteries. Promises to fix it were never kept. Literally every time I got to the room, I had to go back down and solve the issue. The internet connection is beyond slow - pages simply don't load. I know for a fact these issues are shared by other travelers since I kept running into them in the elevators on the way down to get their keys changed.

One of the three elevators was broken and the other two on the verge of breaking. I was placed in a smoking room which was disgusting. I requested a change and was moved to a non-smoking room which smelled almost as bad. I don't know what they do to these rooms to make them stink so bad.

The beds belong in a backpacker motel and the blankets are as thin as paper. When ordering a taxi, it takes forever which is very odd given that the hotel is located bang in the center of the city.

When complaining about all of the above, the staff seemed bothered that I dared raise the issue. All they had to say was "we have a complaint book if you want". As if.

Half of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work. I could go on, but whats the point - this place is gross and no self-respecting traveler should stay there. Never again.

For our stay in BA we wanted to treat ourselves, so happy we did! The hotel is located just off Plaza de Mayo and in walking distance of many sites; for places further away there is a subway in front of the hotel and cabs are ubiquitous in BA anyway. We upgraded to a minisuite which was spacious and had a great view. Rooms are modern and nicely appointed, but above all the bed was heavenly and the shower excellent.
We loved the breakfastbuffet; ample choice of fresh fruits, cereals etc and great pastries.
The staff at the front desk was great in assisting us with planning trips to the horse racing track, football match and explaining the local bus system.

This is a decent priced hotel, located more or less perfectly downt town Buenos Aires - just around the corner from the famous Plaza de Mayo. Rooms are a bit on the shabby side, roomservice isn't great, and rather expensive, but plenty of places around. Their breakfast is absolutely fantastic!

I travel to Buenos Aires several times per year and this hotel makes me feel like home! Rooms are very comfy and big enough with the bathroom integrated into the room space. Beds are great and provide a wonderful sleep experience.
The breakfast is excellent, although you could expect big quantity of food what you will find is fresh and high quality food.
The location is awesome! You can get everywhere easily. Main landmarks are just a few steps away (Casa Rosada, the Cathedral, Florida Street, San Telmo).
A negative point for me is the slippery hardwood flooring in the room, so you have to be careful.

Our flight from BA was canceled and UAL put us up here. What a wonderful and unexpected surprise. The location is great, near the historic Plaza de Mayo. The staff were most gracious and accommodating. We got to the hotel at mid-night; tired, crabby and hungry. The restaurant was closed but the staff got us ham & cheese sandwiches (delicious) and a bottle of wine. The restaurant had a great breakfast and lunch buffet with a wide variety of choices that was delicious. The rooms and bathrooms were large, clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable! We would highly recommend this hotel when visiting BA.

We did not choose this hotel, it was included as part of a pre-cruise package and we only stayed one jet-lagged night. Good central location only a very short walk from the Casa Rosada but the street in which the hotel is actually situated isn't too salubrious. Apart from idiosyncratic air-conditioning (and a missing plug for the bathroom basin, quickly replaced) the room was fine for our purpose but very drab. Breakfast was OK but there was no sign of any other meals being available although other reviewers seem to indicate that there were. Not the sort of place we would want to stay for a proper city break or on business unless there are some better rooms than we had. Many guests were on our cruise or other tours and it did feel like a marble-halled transit camp with large groups constantly checking in or out. On the plus side, the room was available immediately on our arrival mid-morning.

We stayed here for 1 night before boarding our Celebrity Antarctic cruise in BA. The hotel was perfectly suited for this and very well organized for cruise guests. Our luggage was collected the night before by the bell staff and was delivered to the port which made the whole process very smooth and hassle free, the best we've experienced by far on a pre cruise stay! Not sure whether this was down to Celebrity or the hotel but either way it worked.

Breakfast was included in our package and there was plenty of choice, hot and cold buffet, fruit juices etc so no complaints there. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the city, which we did as it was our first time there. Overall a good experience and would recommend this hotel.
