“Great Location, Excellent Service, Beautiful Decor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

First of all, the location of this boutique hotel is ideal. It's in the Soho Palermo neighbourhood which is well known for its abundance of trendy shops, lively bars and classy restaurants. Everything you could possibly need (including a metro station) is within close proximity to the hotel.

The service we received during our stay was excellent - each staff member we met was friendly, warn and welcoming.

The hotels decor is beautiful with a modern flair to an old backdrop. One thing I loved about the hotel is the use of natural light throughout, it almost felt like I was walking outside while walking down the corridor to my room.

Our room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had everything that we needed for an enjoyable stay. I was especially happy with the desk area and lightning speed Wi-Fi that allowed me to catch up on some work.

This boutique hotel is located in a very nice section of Palermo. The subway station is only a 10 minute walk away and there are many great restaurants within walking distance as well. The staff at the hotel is very attentive. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable. Hard to get wi-fi in room though. Great place to stay!

The location is great for walking around the Palermo Soho, cabs to everywhere are cheap and metro line is about 7-8 blocks away.
The place is clean and looks very good.

The big downsides are:
1) The room is noisy and there is light coming in from everywhere, if you like a silent dark room to sleep you'll be in trouble,
2) Breakfast is crap. In the fist day we found a dirty table already used by many guests and with no sign of someone cleaning it for the next ones, very limited options and a terrible coffee machine. In the second day we asked them to provide breakfast at 6am because we had a bus to catch (they advertise that they can do it for you) and we found only bread in the morning with not even butter, jam or anything...
3) I asked for recommendations and only received the most expensive options, when I asked about other options the guy just gave me back an "it is your decision". (he offered me a $110 transfer and I knew a taxi wouldn't cost more than $60.... took the cab and final fare was $54).

Room Tip: some have the bathrooms outside the bedrooms, be sure you know what you're getting

Pros:
Located in a great neighborhood for walking, and lots of shops and restaurants in the area
Friendly staff
Good breakfast and sweet little breakfast spot if weather cooperates
Excellent remise service
In-room safe, nice amenities

Cons:
We had one of the best rooms and it was tired-looking
Bathroom design was poor - I'm tiny and I still had to maneuver to get in and out
Not well sound-proofed
Although well-intentioned, staff is not well trained. I had to help figure out how much we owed and was glad I had documentation with me.

We enjoyed our one night stay but will look elsewhere for our next visit.

Malabia House in Palermo Soho is a place which makes you feel at home in a big city. Rooms are excellent, very well kept, breakfast is delicious and the staff working for Malabia House are just wonderful people. They make you feel like visiting friends - I've been to this hotel every ttime I went to Argentina, and will definitely come back. I wouldn't even think of going elsewhere.

Sebastian is a real sweetheart; he and the hostess was so accommodating; we traveled all night and arrived early for our room. She said check in time was 3 but she would get us a room as soon as possible. AND she did. Sebastian helped with our breakfast, which was very nice and he helped with printing our boarding passes; he has a great sense of humor, which I like
The hotel is quite unique in tradition and flare....beautiful atriums throughout the hotel. Bathrooms are small but you can get the job done. I would definitely come back to these accommodations because the service was excellent and we were so well treated The location was wonderful....restaurants, grocery stores, parks, clothing shops are all just right there. Love this place. In addition to Sebastian, Emiliano was on the night shift and he was very accommodating....we wanted to have wine with friends and he got us glasses and trays and napkins and let us use one of the small lobby room We really appreciated the extra Emiliano had to do to make our stay more enjoyable. He helps make the hotel what it is, We hope to be back to this unique place.someday, ..;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;.

given the price (100 usd a night) i was disappointed. the room was good but had no window. the bathroom was very very tiny and there were lots of black marks on the wall, looked kind of old.
the service was super friendly but slightly disorganised. the location however is awesome.
