My family and I (all 11 of us) planned a Christmas holiday in BA and choose the Malabia House based mainly on great write ups. We were not dissappointed. The hotel is very charming and the staff are extremely attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean, the breakfasts were lovely and well I cannot say enough about the people who work there, they always smiled and made the trip one of our best yet!

We stayed at the Malabia House for three nights during our trip to Buenos Aires and were very impressed with the accomodations and level of service by the knowledgable staff. The building and location are fantastic--Palermo is a really delightful place to stay in Buenos Aires where we really felt like we were mixing in with the locals. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The business center was great to have email access 24/7 on nice, fast computers. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast (with eggs made to order). The staff helped us with transportation, attraction recommendations, and reservations to attend a tango show at Carlos Gardel, which we loved. We would definitely stay here again!

My partner and I stayed at Malabia House for 5 nights in late December while in Buenos Aires, before heading south through Patagonia. We can't say enough positive things about our stay here. The hotel is in Palermo Soho, a walking neighborhood of suberb restaurants, excellent shopping and sightseeing. The hotel itself is comfortable, relaxing and quiet. Upon arrival, staff brought us drinks and cookies - and gave us an overview of the neighborhood and Buenos Aires with a map.

Our room had a balcony to the street with tall doors overlooking a beautifully green and full tree. We thought that there might be street noise but we heard nothing. The bathroom was not in our room but down the hall. That is truly the only "complaint". The bathroom was for our sole use. Some rooms had bathrooms en suite and others didn't. Those that didn't still had their own private bathroom, just down or across the hall. The beds are amazing - best beds we slept in during our trip through Argentina. Breakfast started at 7:00 AM without a end time - for those folks who needed to sleep in.

All in all we loved it.

My wife and I stayed in Malabia last October for a few days. It was the start of our honeymoon. We stayed in the room with the balcony overlooking the street. The bathroom is separate but we did not find that a problem in any way. The room is spacious, bright, modern while keeping it's obvious old charm.

The young staff are simply excellent and very easy on the eye I might add. They recommended some excellent restaurants.

If Palermo Soho is your area of choice and you like small informal boutique style hotels then stop your search now.
