I used Trip Advisor to look for a suitable hotel in BA and the reviews for 1555 Malabia House looked good. We weren't disappointed!
The transfer guy was there at the airport with our name board - a relatively quick trip had us arriving at the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and literally bent over backwards to help us (heavy suitcases!). A relaxed check in with soft drinks in the lounge. The room was minimalist but with some little extras. I was a little hesitant to book as some rooms don't have ensuite facilities but as we contacted the hotel direct we reserved our actual room - you can see them on the website. Be warned, only a few rooms have outside windows. Most look into the beautiful interior courtyard, but the walls are thin!
The loaction is superb if you like the more relaxed side of BA - good restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The streets surrounding the hotel are quiet and have some good shops.
If you're looking for a peaceful haven in noisy BA then stay here. It's only a taxi ride away from the hustle and bustle!

My fiance and i were attending a wedding in Buenos Aires so we had late night and we needed to lie in the mornings. We were unfortunately not able to do that since the housekeeping staff was up at 6am turning around rooms and getting breakfast ready.

For those of you who are early risers this should not stop you from staying here. But for those of you that need some rest in the mornings you should think twice.

Overall rooms are cute. Rooms are a decent size and comfortable. Bathrooms are small but clean and have lots of natural light.

Breakfast has no time limit and is made to order (my favorite bit about the hotel; )

We enjoyed our visit to 1555 Malabia for our first visit to Buenos Aires. Since we were traveling to Patagonia for five days, we booked our reservation for the front and back end of our trip. The hotel was very accommodating to meet our needs. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and wonderful. The rooms were ample and comfortable. The only problem was noise, but we are light sleepers. We went to sleep between 1:00 and 3:00 a.m., and were awakened by staff preparing for breakfast starting at 7:00 a.m. or housecleaning wiping down floors or guests dashing from their rooms to the bathrooms or to breakfast. These are minor inconveniences and would certainly not affect staying at 1555 Malabia.

Overall, the experience was wonderful. The hotel is charming and comfortable, and the location is perfect in Palermo near shops and excellent restaurants. We became quite fond of the staff. We highly recommend 1555 Malabia and would visit again.

Stayed 13 nights at this wonderful B&B in a great location in Soho.It was a sublime 13 nights.Superb staff who make you feel at home instantly.Breakfast of high quality and variety, served graciously.Rooms spotless and very comfortable.Slept peacefully.You can walk to great cafes and restaurants in very quick order and enjoy delightful food at very reasonable prices.One spot a half block away has great food and some of the best steak I had in Buenos Aires!The well trained staff with their warmth and eagerness to please really make this spot one of the best.I will return.
