Malabia House has much to recommend it, but I believe its greatest asset is the staff - they are simply the greatest. To say that they are friendly is an understatement - we feel that they actually became our friends. And they were not just helpful - they made us feel comfortable and truly "at home," and when you're traveling, there's nothing more valuable than that.
As a small example, we often came home from dinner fairly late, when the front desk was manned by Marius (Taflan) or sometimes Martin - and as we got to know them, we would find ourselves asking more and more questions, not just about what to do in Buenos Aires, but about how to say certain things in Spanish, or what wines to drink, or about the culture in Buenos Aires and Argentina, or just about whatever experiences we had encountered that day. They were always extremely friendly, patient, and happy to provide all the answers, always with great insight and a greater sense of humor. It got to the point where we began looking forward to these sessions and compiling lists of questions during the day to ask that night! These encounters remain today as one of our great memories of the trip.
In short, for us, meeting people is one of the greatest pleasures of travel, and you certainly won't meet lovelier people than the staff at Malabia House.
