We decided on the Regis, after comparing reviews of Buenos Aires hotels, in this price class. At the time
there had only been one for Regis, from the member from St Louis, MO. We can vouch for what he/she said. The hotel is not fancy, but it is clean, the breakfasts are nice, and we appreciated that our room and bathroom were very spacious. The location really is fantastic. We have many fond memories of standing on the small balcony and watching the commotion in the pedestrian street, and, of course, wandering there ourselves. The street is quite noisy until late, but the room is shielded very effectively so that one hardly hears a thing. Two points of note. The facade often shown on the internet for this hotel is at the corner of the pedestrian street, were the ground floor does not belong the hotel. The actual entrance is two stores removed from the corner, next to the music store - just for in case you get confused when arriving there, as we did, intially. Our booking reference said "hot buffet breakfast". Other booking sites say the same thing. This is however not true. It is continental, but quite nice nevertheless, as described by the previous reviewer. I can recommend this hotel for it's large rooms, problem free stay, and great location.
