“Really 5 Stars in Buenos Aires”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2012

Wonderful rooms, wide, clean, nice classic furniture, with very comfortable bathrooms and imposing views of the Northern part of town and the Rio de la Plata. Remarkable dinner and very good breakfast. Garden is so nice, brides go to take photos before the wedding. Excellent attention. Modern building, very well situated.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floors: views are imposing!

This hotel is very nice, the rooms are very comfortable and great space. The Bathroom was very clean and very clear. The restaurant was a little menu but very good. The rooms rates are expensive but this price is valuable. Near of train station and neighbor Recoleta and Barrio Norte.

The hotel is good, rooms are good, front desk staff is not very friendly they have to improve attitude.
Breakfast is too expensive, 120 pesos (26 USD) is crazy.

The Emperador is really a lovely place to hang one's hat while enjoying Buenos Aires. The room rate is reasonable, especially when one consider's the large size of the room/bath and the central location. The place is spotless and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is a very comfortable place to stay.

However, all other services are vastly over priced. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is adequate, served buffet style. There is really nothing special about it and if I had to pay for it I would not. The bar area is beautiful but the price of food and drinks is outrageous. Venture one block in any direction for a better menu selection at half the price. The Internet service was very poor. I tried to use WiFi in my room but the signal continued to drop. I went to the business center where desktop computers are available, but the speed was painfully slow. There was nothing to do but perservere as Buenos Aires has not caught up with the public WiFi craze and it is difficult to find service outside of the hotel. However, the last day I found a great little bar/restaurant just 1 1/2 blocks away from the hotel named Libre and it had WiFi. I wish I had known this earlier in my stay, though I can't say if the service would be an improvement over what I had at the hotel.

I would stay at the Emperador again. The location is good, the rooms are comfortable and the garden is exceptional.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the rear of the hotel to get away from street noise

Another functional chain hotel with an enormous bedroom and bath room. Location was good but breakfast very middle of the range. Such a shame as the view over the lovely garden asked for better food to match the view. So better than average but resting a little on its laurels

First the good: great location, huge rooms, good sound proof and dark shades
Now the bad: same bland food for breakfast every day; lousy food at the conference; expensive price for food and drinks; mediocore service; valet can not help you get a taxi and assist with direction; average quality of bed; poor internet connection; Poor customer service

This hotel is very well located in BA- and is a good value. Not a super high-end
property- but a very clean, comfortable and well run hotel with a lovely hidden
garden and terrace behind the dining room. A nice spot to unwind after touring.
There's a fantastic empanada restaurant (really a little hole in the wall- that does
a big take out trade) around the corner just two blocks from the hotel. When we were there for
lunch (try the beef empanadas- they are the best in the country!!), there was a steady
stream of locals (including police and medical staff) picking up to go orders. Cannot
remember the name of the place, but the hotel staff should know. When we return to BA, we plan to stay in this hotel again.
