“Better than the Sheraton Libertador!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Had a much better experience in this hotel vs the sheraton libertador (also in Bs As). The cab service is much more efficient and it has an outdoor pool. The staff is also much nicer, and they treated me like a queen.

I stayed at this hotel on a recent business trip.
The room was fine, but nothing spectacular.
Most hotels I stay in have a checkin time around 3pm, but normally you can get a room after midday without any issue.
Not at the Sheraton.
A lot of us had arrived overnight from Frankfurt so we were in the hotel by around midday. There were no rooms available for any of us until after 2.30PM which was quite annoying, as I really wanted to have a shower and freshen up.
The executive lounge was handy but its opening hours were odd. In most hotels with a lounge you'd expect to be able to get access all day, but the Sheraton lock theirs after breakfast until late afternoon.
The hotel's lobby bar closes really early - shortly after midnight, which is also really annoying.

We arrived late and tired. It was so refreshing to be welcomed and helped out by Franco at the front desk. He went above and beyond and it's because of staff members like him that make me a loyal Spg member. The hotel is great and in a great location. But then there are many great hotels is ba. (We actually have been traveling Argentina for two weeks). What is comes down to is good service and consistency and this property Hit the Mark! Thanks Sheraton and Spg.

I stayed here for 10 days on business so got to know the place well. The location is good, close to shopping streets such as Calle Florida and plenty of eateries. Check-in and check-out no problems. Overall the hotel is a bit knocked about and in need of refurbishment. My room had a great view of the harbour and was comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful across all areas. The breakfast buffet is pretty basic. No problems with wifi reception. Lobby bar/lounge has a good range of drinks and snacks. There is a great view of the city on the 24th floor. The adjoining, inter-connected hotel gives you more bar and dining options. In short, everything worked OK but if you are looking for a fun holiday stay look elsewhere.

I still remember better days when staying at Sheraton in Karachi, Dubai etc. in a great atmosphere: Welcome fruit baskets, even a bottle of Whiskey from the manager besides other comforts and surprises. And I haven’t been at Sheratons for some time any more. When I arrived at Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center, well I thought, I have seen better before. The welcome was kind and professional, I got a nice room with a good view on the docks on the 15th floor, the location is quite central. There was nothing really to complain about the first days but it’s not the standard I was used to: The breakfast buffet is mediocre, Internet connectivity in the room mostly poor, usually not included in the room rate and an expensive extra. And some services were rather slow. The lobby is full of people (customers) but the bar closes shortly after midnight. When I booked an extra day after the week via the website, I got a “best price guaranteed” of US$ 170 “to pay in local currency (ARS) at the exchange rate on day of payment“. On paying cash they charged such a lousy exchange rate (far beyond my Currency converter App) that the “best price” turned out to be US$ 210 – and the all-over standard of the BA Sheraton is simply not worth such a price! The advantage was that the conference took place at the inhouse Convention Center on the 1st floor what is convenient by offering good facilities.

Stayed there for a congress and had a room on the 16th floor, which was quite nice.
Efficient check-in and some nice restaurants.

Every single staff member, other than the waiters at the lobby bar, were extremely pleasant and friendly. I sat over lunch at the pool, which looked quite nice and was quite popular.

It's in a good location, close to the Florida shopping walking street, and many restaurants with a nice flair.

If one pays with plastic one gets a reasonable rate, but one can pay in cash so one can take advantage of the blue market, if one likes.

The room was comfy and we slept good. The gym was very good for a hotel gym. The restaurant was pretty good too.

Unfortunately, we were unimpressed with the staff. Except for the restaurant staff, no one seemed to be working there. If we needed any help with anything, no one in the hotel seemed to care. We asked for a blanket for our kid's crib, and were told 'no.' We asked for an early check-in the day prior, and were told 'no.' We asked for the wifi code while we waited for our room to be prepared, and were told 'no.' We asked for an all-day remise a day prior at the in-house remise stand, and were told 'no.'

This stay convinced me not to stay at anymore Sheratons. I'm also recommending to my employer that they take this particular Sheraton off their list of recommended hotels in Buenos Aires.
