We stayed at the Buenos Aires Four Seasons March 10 - March 13. The hotel is wonderful!
Arrival: We booked transporation from Ezeiza Airport to the Four Seasons via the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a impeccably dressed driver who handled our luggage and whisked us into a new Mercedes van. We were offered cool, scented towels and bottled water - very refreshing indeed! It seemed to be a 30 minute drive from EZE to the hotel. Once at the hotel, we were treated like celebrities and were decended upon by staff who wanted to be sure the we were checked in quickly and that all of our needs were met. We were quickly ushered to our room which they kindly upgraded to the Library Level. We had a terrific view of the Mansion and French Embassy. It was great to have access to the Library for the free internet access and soft drinks.
Rooms: With the exception of the bathroom, the room appeared to be recently refurbished. Beautiful Four Seasons linens made the bed very restful, although I wish they had a mattress pad to make the firm bed a little more plush. My only disappointment, and it is a small one at that, was the bathroom. It seriously needs to be remodeled. Don't get me wrong, the room was loaded with marble and wonderful ammenities, however you had to walk into the shower facing the spray to turn it on and adjust the temperature. Also, the Aquaglass tub was dated and not really FS Quality.
Service: I should add that we also stayed at the Park Hyatt in BA, which in my opinion had much nicer rooms. However, their service while great, didn't match the service that makes the FS famous. FS met our every request without hesitation. We never heard the word "No" during our stay. They arranged our transportation to their sister property in Uruguay on the Buquebus as well as numerous dinner reservations in the city. There was also a very nice lady at the pool that served up wonderful drinks with a wonderful attitude.
Food: We ate only breakfast in the hotel. Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. Like most people visiting BA, we opted for dinner in one of the wonderful restaurants that are in abundance. We loved La Cabrera which seemed to be full of locals - a great sign. Also, La Cabana was terric for the best steaks.
Atmosphere: I, unlike the previous reviewer, didn't find incentive groups in attendance. Additionally, all of my brethren encountered exhibited proper decorum and did not draw attention to themselves in any negative way. Most people staying here are on holiday or business trips as opposed to conventioneers.
For the ultimate in pampering and a worry free vacation, we hightly recommend this property.
