The service is excellent. We stayed at both the Four Seasons in BA and in Carmelo, Uruguay (sister properties).
We were to arrive in BA from the US, and go directly to Carmelo through a charter flight that the Four Seasons arranged for us. However, our flight from the US was significantly delayed and we were going to miss the charter they arranged for us. I called the Four Seasons from Dallas in the middle of the night to let them know - they told us not to worry about a thing - they would take care of us. When we arrived in BA, they picked us up at the airport, and told us they had tried to hold the charter flight for us. But, that did not work out - so they instead had arranged for us to take a private charter (at the same cost). They did whatever it took to make sure our plans stayed on course. We had a little time to kill before catching our new flight, so they drove us to the BA Four Seasons, treated us to a complimentary lunch and cocktails, then drove us to our private charter. We had the full VIP treatment, even when the delay was caused by factors not even related to them! When we returned to the BA in Four Seasons after our stay in Carmelo, it was like coming home. Every one greated us by name.
Now for the rooms - they are beginning to remodel. But, the rooms are a bit dated (think early 90's doctors offices with the teal and pink motiff). Our bathroom, while marble, had black counters and brass fixtures. We had a juvenille print of a whale posted over our tub. The rugs were teal, the bedding was a bit "Marriot". Definitely in need of updating.
