De Las Americas must be in the first 5 Hotels in BsAs!
It offers at a VERY GOOD PRICE (much less than those posted on Internet: we paid for a suite less than 60USD/night), EXCELLENT COMFORT: extremly clean, quiet, elegant, an excellent position that gives you the chance to visit everything in a walking (and safe) area, a very good breakfast. Very helpful, nice and very professional people at the reception! Definitely we will stay there again! I will strongly reccomend to check the caffe bar which is on the corner (west side) of that street.

I have stayed at Las Americas on more than one occasion and find it to be consistently a comfortable accomodating hotel. Rooms are a bit small by North American standards, but they are always clean and quiet. I like the rich wood tones of the lobby area. The staff is courteous and efficient. The hotel has a small coffeeshop/bar where a complimentary breakfast is served each morning. I would definitely return to this hotel.
