This was my fourth stay in Buenos Aires, and the hotel, though adequate, was my least favorite. The check-in lines were incredibly long, and I had to wait almost an hour for my room. The furnishings were dated and a bit worn, and the wait for an elevator was also unusually long during most of my stay. Given the current affordability of Buenos Aires Hotels, this hotel was quite expensive by comparison with other area hotels.

The best thing about this hotel is the location--close to the Florida Stree shopping district, and a short cab drive to other area attractions.

With the large number of nice boutique hotels in the city, unless I needed the Starwood Guest points, I would stay elsewhere. In fact, I have just booked the Moreno hotel for an upcoming stay, despite there being no TripAdvisor reviews yet.

We stayed at this hotel twice during our stay. Both times the rooms were similar, they were comfortable and had been freshly painted, although the renovations were still being completed.
We must have been lucky on our first visit as we had a non-smoking room without being asked and on the second visit was asked and they changed us to a non-smoking room.
On our first vist the business centre offered free internet and when we returned there was a 5 peso fee. So I used the internet down the road which cost .75 pesos for 10 minutes.
Check is was not a problem either time, the in-room safe requires a key which you have to ask for at check in and is not an add on cost.
The plugs are Australian style (for all the Aussies travelling) which did surprise me.
The breakfast was standard and didn't change from day to day, but there was good variety and the wait staff were very nice. The one waiter remebered me everyday and made my pot of tea and got a jug of milk and went out of his way to make sure everything was fine.
The lobby was very commercial and there was nowhere to sit by the door if you were waiting to be picked up, as the only wait area is the other end of the lobby. The rest of the area is bar and dining areas, I didn't try and sit there and not eat or drink so don't know whether this is possible.
I would stay at this hotel again and feel it is worth the money because of its location.

The location of this hotel can not be beat. It is literally a one minute walk from the shopping on Florida St., five minute cab rides to either Recoleta or the restaurants at the Port, and 5- 10 minutes to most other attractions in the city. The service of the hotel staff was well above average for South America, answered all questions that we had efficiently and effectively, and i believe all of the front desk staff spoke English along with at least two other languages. Food in the hotel was very good and consistent. Personally, i believe that the room size was above average for a standard room and i was pleasantly surprised with the new LG widescreen flat panel that i was not expecting. Excellent closet space and lighting. The reason for writing this review was because of all the other reviews that bashed this hotel. I personally did not encounter any problems and would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

I must say the location of the hotel is perfect but unfortunately they hotel has way too many issues that i would probably choose another location next time. I stayed at this hotel twice during my recent trip to Buenos Aires. The first stay was on Level 12 and the room was in very poor condition. I than advised that reception unless they put me in a new renovated room i would cancel my stay and go elsewhere. I was than put on level 7 and had a new room. In total i was there for 9 days and on 2 of these days my room was not cleaned although i had no do not disturb signs on my door. Next issue is the actualy lifts which take 10-15 mins at times to get to ur floor. After 2 days i started taking the stairs instead. Buffet Breakfast is ok but make sure you get there at 7am otherwise you may not get the best service on offer.

This is somewhat lackluster for a Sheraton, and might better have been marketed as a Four Points. It has a good location, but it seems like they took an old hotel and have unsuccessfully refurbished it to meet the standards of other Starwood preoperties. I had to ask for a room change, because the first room offered was of very poor quality. The second room was considerably better with amenities, noise level and cleanliness. The pool and gym up on the top floor are nice, but I think they have a charge for non SPG members. The hotel was undergoing renovations, so perhaps there will be some big improvements in 2007. I would go other the other Sheraton property in town, however...
