Stayed at the Plaza for a week on business and vacation. The location is excellent on the pedestrian mall Avenida Florida. It is also well situated for quickly getting into the Puerto Madero or the Recoleta.
The rooms are very solid. Oddly I would not recomend staying on the "executive floor" as that floor of the hotel has lower ceilings. I stayed on the 6th floor and had a gorgeous room with high ceilings and an oblique view of the Plaza San Martin. I was very happy with it, and it was not the room initially given to me. Ah, one last service comment - the checkout desk is understaffed. Avoid checking out at noon as the lines were horrible for such a small hotel. This may in part be because a number of cruise ships seem to have their people staying here and they move en masse.
Lastly, the formal dining room at the hotel is really lovely. You can have your breakfast in the same room as well and I definately recommend it. As for dining in the city, the choices are endless. I am a big fan however of Milion - a hidden away spot in a big house in the Recoleta. Very nice.
