Ahhh...after a trip filled with hostels (we booked this with Marriot Points saved up from my boyfriend's business trips)...it was sweet. The beds were oh so comfy and the bathroom although it did have a funky smell was large and palacial. The breakfast spread was Argentinian but good. The staff helpful and friendly. No complaints about this place especially when it was...FREE :)
The breakfast was good. The rooms were in good condition. The security was alright. The only thing that I didn't like was the Sunday Brunch.
the hotel is pretty old but in a great location. You can do better with that budget. Was way below my expectations. Great breakfast!
The Marriott is located near great shopping on Florida street downtown. The hotel is an historic restoration, but the rooms are archaic. We had a handicapped room for my wife. The toilet never did operate properly despite the maintenance man's effort. The special elevator to access the main elevator bank on the second floor was tiny and had two sets of folding doors to operate. It was nearly impossible for someone in a power chair or scooter to get into because of a steep ramp that ended just before the elevator on the first floor. We finally learned the last day of our stay that the bellman would take us around the block to enter the basement and take a freight elevator to our floor.
The staff service at this hotel is excellent, but they can do little about the structural deficiencies of he hotel.
