After I booked my reservation online, I called Marriot reservations to assure this hotel had air conditioning as my sister has mulitple sclerosis and needs a cooler room. I was assured the hotel had ac. We were taken to our room at about 1530 and as soon as we got off the elevator we noticed how hot the hallway was and then saw the sign, "under construction. We were taken to our room and I immediately filed a complaint about the hot room. We were told the ac was just turned on and the room needed to "cool down." There was no ac blowing out of the vents. I make multiple phone calls and trips to the desk. I was told the only way they would change our room was if the maintenance department "informed them the ac was broken." NO ONE from maintenance would to check the ac. At midnight the PBX operator brought us a fan. During the night, my sister sweated so much that her red hair dye faded onto the pillow. I took this pillow to the front desk and tried to complain as loudly as possible so everyone could hear. Now they told me there was no record of any complaint!!!!. They sent maintenance to fix the ac and they had to replace the ac fan. The lack of customer service at this hotel was appalling. Houston, Texas
