My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in the Marriott hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location - right on the major shopping street. The hotel is overrun with American tourists. They overwhelm the lobby in the afternoons. They are afraid to venture out of the hotel by themselves so they sit in the lobby after checking out and before leaving for the airport (sometimes 3 to 5 hours). This makes the lobby very crowdy.
They also ask the staff many ridiculous questions. This begins to annoy the staff. We found that the staff then becomes annoyed with all hotel guests. One staff member was quite rude initially with us when we asked for a restaurant recommendation. However, he was very friendly afterwards. We found the staff to be very nice.
The rooms are small and the hotel needs to be remodeled. It could use some paint and some small fixes to make the hotel appear better.
We found the bed very comfortable.
We never took taxis that are directly in front of the hotel. The prices are higher.
Overall, the hotel is in an excellent location and we enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
