I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Marriott. I agree with some of the other negative reviews. This hotel is not up to Marriott standards. It is in need of refurbishing. The carpets are filthy, the heating vent in bedroom was dirty (i.e. black), peeling paint, and the room smelled musty. The staff cannot accommodate the large number of guests, and do not follow through with guest requests. Also, if they book a driver they charge extra (of course, they don't tell you about it, but a Radio Taxi cab on the street charges 65 pesos to go to the International Airport, and the hotel charges 100 pesos - their justification is that they give you a receipt). Do be careful in Buenos Aires to only take Radio Taxis - almost all the taxis in BA are black and yellow, but the non-Radio Taxis are notorious for ripping off tourists.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a group package. The hotel is adequate with an excellent location - as others have already noted. The room I had - package booked- faced a stone wall so it was not the best Marriott experience I've had.

Breakfast was okay - not great. The hotel overall needs renovation and updating. The lobby looks like grand central station and is way too small to accomodate the throngs of people coming in and out.

I'd say stay here if you get a good deal and then negotiate a good room once you get there but don't pay Marriott prices for this one.

I just got back from a hot and humid Buenos Aires after a wonderful stay at the Marriott. We loved the location because basically we were right at the beginning of the pedestrian walkway Florida street. We requested a park view and the room was great, 24 hour room service was wonderful. They actually prepared a late night snack for us consisting of fruits and cheeses that was not on the menu! The concierge service was very helpful in assisting us with tango show reservations, dinner options and getting around the area. The breakfast was just okay, I think it is better to go elsewhere for this meal because there are so many other option available. The pool was small and usually crowded but given the weather we had it was understandable. The rates were reasonable but for me this location was just right.

Very nice hotel right on Calle Florida. Great concierge. Very comfortable beds. Rooms slightly small but nicely appointed. Great serivice. Awesome location.
