BW Art Deco turned out to be in an excellent location, close to pedestrian Lavalle and a short walk to Florida, close to several metro stops, or easy to hail a cab (Radio-taxis only) out front or on Corrientes. Our room was very spacious, with mini-fridge, stocked with items so inexpensive we took something from it everyday--something I usually never do. There was even a cooktop (we didn't need or use), table for two, a small sofa, and queen-size bed, plus a pleasant large balcony with another table for two outside. The staff could not have been nicer, even loaning us pesos for cab fare the first day (Sunday) because we couldn't get smaller change after using an ATM. Rosa, a delightful woman who works in the restaurant/lounge, will pour you a generous glass of wine at the end of the day. I called home to the U.S. and was only charged two pesos per call. For the price, $65/night including breakfast, we thought it was a great value. We stayed for two weeks from 12/26/04. I waited too late to book my first choices in more upscale hotels, and I was very nervous about staying in this location, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The staff made it especially enjoyable.
