“Very nice location, wonderful rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

We booked this hotel based on its good reviews and on our 4th night here I have to say that we have been very happy with the choice. It is well located in Recoleta, easy to get around, safe, and the neighborhood has beautiful architecture generally. The hotel itself is very nice and the room we have (mid-level) is really comfortable. We had coffee at a very expensive hotel down the road and while that hotel is quite elegant, it felt over the top to us. For this reason, we prefer the Hotel Club Frances. Breakfast is included with the room rate here and is pretty comprehensive (coffee, OJ, breads, fruit, eggs to order, bacon, sausage, etc) It is also a nice experience to enjoy breakfast under the supervision of Georges Clemenceau! One confusion we had the first day was understanding that you had to order things like fruit, it is not put out on the table. One critique is the eggs benedict had too much mustard for my taste. Special applause goes to the super nice waiter Frederico who speaks fluent English and pretty darn good French as well!

Dear safarigirlNC , thank you for your great review, we value very much our guests comments on how to make their stay the best. Regarding breakfast our Chef is very careful of his food so we put on the table only food that does not lose it´s freshness by sitting still.
Thank you for repairing on every detail (such as Clemenceau!) and sharing them with the travelers community.
Warm Regards

I always check with Tripadvisor when going to a new city. Over many years of travel, I have never been disappointed by their recommendations. I found Club Frances on Tripadvisor. Perfect location near Alvear Palace, Recoleta cemetery, and many restaurants. Highly recommend. They try real hard to make your stay enjoyable. Room and breakfast cost a little over $200/night.

Having stayed before i was looking forward to visiting again - breakfast was a disaster - ordered cooked breakfast - black pudding was cold raw and uncooked in the centre - staff grudgingly took it back - on check out the bill was wrong. I’ll never but never come back in this hotel !

Dear cegar8777, you must be mistaken. We did not have any guests from Netherlands during July 2014 and we do not serve Black Pudding in our breakfast. Also whilst every other review rages about our staff and how kind and attentive.
Hopefully you´ll be able to post your review under the correct Hotel.
Thank you very much

We just finished staying a week at the Hotel Club Frances and the hotel exceeded my expectations. Coming in on an international flight I got there early 9am and was able to have breakfast to order (included) when they got my room ready. The room is cleaned in the morning and then the beds are turned down before bed. A chocolate as well as a bottle of water is left for each guest. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful.

Room Tip: It was just my daughter and I so we had a two twin bed room which was quiet and the bathroom had two...

This place went above and beyond my expectations. Just book this hotel and stop fretting about your decision. Recoleta is the place to be for first time tourists. You can walk from this hotel to most tourist sites within 20 minutes or so. Don't stay in Palermo as you'll have to take taxis everywhere to see the sights downtown.

Even before booking, the hotel staff was very informative and helpful in answering all the questions I had. Upon arrival, we were made to feel very welcome in this beautiful hotel. The rooms were very nice and big, and included Wi-FI and free water each night. The hotel staff were so helpful--it was like having a personal tour planner for you whenever you wanted. They provided great restaurant recommendations, helped us book a Tango show, and taxis. I usually do all this kinda stuff on my own so that was nice just to sit back and listen to their advice.

The breakfast was excellent, and served by a nice waiter who provided great service throughout our trip. Great food.

I loved this place and would definitely stay there again.

Dear Kevhurtbuddy , thank you very much for your recommendation! Our front desk works hard for our guests to be happy and it seems we are going in the right direction. We´ll be happy to see you again if you return to Buenos Aires.

Club Francese is one of the best hotela I've stayed in Buenos Aires. The location is great, in Recoleta, a very residential area in the city. The hotel is very charming with large and comfortable rooms and bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. A plus is definitely the staff, very polite and always helpful. A deserved 5 stars in Tripadvisor.

in some 40 years of travelling for both business and pleasure, I don't think that I have ever been so pleased with finding a great hotel where I have not stayed before. The Club Frances is terrific in every respect - large, spacious rooms, great ambiance, wonderful food and, above all gracious and most helpful staff. A small boutique-style facility located in a spiffy section of the city, close to fine shopping, wonderful restaurants and city sights. Quite charming as it was founded in 1866 as a club for notable French citizens and officials. Be sure to have a cooked-to-order breakfast served in the restaurant's garden atrium.

Room Tip: Select a high floor just to avoid street noise when you may want to open the window. When the window...
