“staff unhelpful, dirty,”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2012

I asked for quiet room because I am light sleeper. They gave me noisiest room on first floor in front of elevator. I did not get king bed like I booked for. There are hair on the phone, more hair on night stand, night stand dusty. Balcony door left unlocked with no key in place to lock it. Housekeeping does not clean hair from drains. I asked for American electric plug, they said all the plugs are in use. Next day I asked to reserve a plug for me, after several guests in groups checked out, I asked for plug again. They say they still do not have it, they gave me the direction to go get one myself. I asked them to go get it, since I paid a lot for the hotel. They did not go get another plug.

Room Tip: This hotel mamagement does not like Americans

Very good hotel with friendly staff Arriving at 2.0a.m. due to delayed flight the midnight coffee bar was very good with fresh criosants, Rooms were spacious with tea and coffee making facilties in room which we do not usually find so especially at rate we paid this was an excellant choice.
Only little moan is that breakfast was fine but with a little effort bacon and eggs could be provided which would be appreciated especially by the English!!

The hotel itself is very stylish, very comfortable, all is set very well, and it is at a very
good location. Gym and outdoor pool are really cool!
The reception staff there is very-very kind, very helpful, very polite and dressed pretty :-)
Rest of the personnel - at breakfast, in the lift, cleaning staff - are also very attentive and willing.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms above floor 4th - due to street noise.

This is a great hotel in a convenient location in trendy Palermo. I travelled recently through Argentina and stayed in 5 separate hotels in Buenos Aires and the Aspen would be my preferred hotel in a return trip. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. There is free wi-fi available. The rooftop pool is fantastic, with a great outdoor area for chilling with friends. Breakfast selection is good and I like the Nespresso machine which is available for purchase of a coffee. The Palermo location was definitely nicer than staying in the city. The hotel staff were also very friendly and the doorman would always assist in flagging a taxi. I would have liked to have stayed in this hotel longer, it is a great home away from home.

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2012. Great location, few minutes walk from subway to get to city centre during the day, and a short walk from the nightlife bars/restaurants of Palermo.

Nice rooms, Good breakfast.

Only negative was that the hotel arranged some boca juniors football tickets for me and they didn't arrive. I got my money back, but was gutted that I missed the game. So don't book any tours through the hotel as they are a bit wet in this area.

Decent hotel, stayed for 2 nights in February 2012. Rooms are generously sized, very clean and have style. Breakfast is fresh and tasty, yet it is a rather crowded space. Locations is very good if you are interested in spending some time in Palermo (great for exploring an upcoming neighborhood, for good food and bars). A bit far off if you are more interested in the classical sights (Boca, San Telma, Recoleta, etc.), but you can manage with taxi and metro. Many drawback for us was the service at the reception. They were rather ignorant, slow and not very forthcoming and proactive in helping us with organizing our activities. For instance when asking for help in getting into the tango show in Cafe Tortoni, they said: "here is the number, why don't you call?". This might not be issue if you are well organized in advance, but for those of us are more spontaneous it can be a problem.

This is a good hotel, I have nothing to complain about. I came for 2 nights and ended up staying 7! The rooftop pool is fantastic as is the awesome lounging area which many guests don't seem to have discovered - you can lie on the sofas and watch the sun set over rooftop Buenos Aires. The rooms are great, the TV channel selection is great, the wifi works fine. There is no room service or restaurant but Palermo has so much to offer it would be a crime to dine in your room anyway. The breakfast is *awesome*. I actually met a lot of fellow travellers in the Aspen Square hotel - it doesn't have that soulless massive hotel feel about it, it feels more like you're staying at a nice apartment. The staff are great, attended to all my queries and needs. The three PCs with printer are great too. The beds are *awesome* too. Exactly what a 4-star hotel should be.

Room Tip: Avoid 304 - I stayed one night in there in between two trips out of Buenos Aires, and the wifi signa...
