Where to start? Beyond the modern-looking lobby, a depressing gray and white color scheme doesn't help the cramped building. The walls of the corridor had not been painted for several years, the dim light and the tired carpet full of dark blotches had the look of a low-security penitentiary. My room was smelly of soggy carpet and fake cinnamon disinfectant. Spartan furniture was an excuse for a fake modernist look. The pillows were hard and spongy. The toilet leaked. Hairs on the bathtub were a telltale sign of the meager cleaning effort. Every shower ended up with the whole bathroom flooded. On the good side, breakfast (included in the price), was good, and the Recoleta neighborhood is full of excellent food and entertainment choices. Don't let the Dazzler Tower ruin your Buenos Aires experience.
