The most impressive thing about this hotel was the service. Before arriving in BA, the staff were very helpful in getting us tickets to events and restaurant reservations - particularly things that could not be reserved online but needed a phone call. They went above and beyond the call of duty prior to our arrival. They were literally responding to my emails within 5 minutes. Quite impressive.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. The staff nicely provided some wine and a nice dessert as a present for our anniversary, which we were celebrating on this trip.
The rooms are spacious, with plenty of light due to large windows. The bathroom was sufficiently large, and the sink was located separate from the shower and toilet. Tile floors were a bit cold but slippers and robes are provided. Was excellent to have a little refrigerator and a compliment of cutlery/plates/glasses. Convenient. Made it possible to take home boxes of leftovers and do takeout in when desired. Very nice accommodations overall.
The neighborhood is quite nice, but is still in the midst of renovation. Plenty of good restaurants and shops. Safe. It is a bit of a haul to get to other important neighborhoods. If you are planning to spend most of your time in areas toward the center, another neighborhood might be better. It's about a 6 block walk to the subway, and about a 30 minute ride to the center. Cabs are also an option, and are not very expensive. I think this location would be more fabulous during the warm months, because it is within waking distance to a wonderful park system. If you are focusing more on museums, history, and architecture, Recoleta would be ideal. This is not a knock at all on Palermo. It's a great neighborhood. But it's something to consider.
There are a few factors that would argue against choosing this hotel for business. First, it's not close to the major business areas in BA. We also found it difficult to use the breakfast vouchers provided by the hotel for three local cafes before 8 am. So if you want to get an early start with breakfast, no luck. (Darma bakery is a fabulous alternative that is open early. Palermo Place ought to consider working out a deal with them to also be included as a breakfast voucher option.) But for the leisure traveler, this is a nice spot.
One recommendation to Palermo Place. The guidelines for the breakfast were not clear on check in. Neither was it clear how to access the wireless (which worked like a charm once we logged on). I think it would be helpful to have a laminated sheet describing all the services of the hotel. How to do breakfast, how to get internet, where the gym is, what services are offered, all that. We asked, and had no problem doing so. But for the more timid traveler, it's nice to have all the information at one's fingertip in the hotel. Also, our room was not serviced one day. No big deal, but these two minor drawbacks made it clear there are still a few kinks to be worked out. The hotel is very new.
Note: the hotel car service is very expensive. I understand it is very nice, but there are cheaper remise services from EZE available. Use a remise for sure. If going to the Aeroparque Newberry, a taxi is very cheap, like 8 USD, and 15 minutes. I think remises are always the way to go getting to the hotel regardless of airport of arrival. I also think the remise is better for the return to EZE, but the taxi was great for the national airport. Take this last with a grain of salt, because it is just my perception and is not based on direct experience.

Thank you for posting your review and for choosing Palermo Place for your trip. We are pleased that you were happy with our sevice. I also want to thank you for your constructive ideas regarding adding another breakfast option.
I did want to reply to a couple of your concerns as we certainly want our customers to be happy. I was troubled by the comment regarding your room not being serviced one day. I went back to the housekeeping logs to find out what happened. The housekeeper reported that the do not disturb sign was placed outside the door one day and was there through out the day.
I assure you that we take housekeeping very seriously and I apologize for any inconvenience.
I also wanted to mention that we provide each guest with a welcome letter that expains the services and has the wifi code in the letter. This should have been provided with your keys at check in. The letter explains relevant information regarding the hotel and the area.
I will use this as a. Opporunity to reinforce to our staff that they need to double check that the guest receives the information they need.
Thank you once again for your feedback and hope to see you again at Palermo Place.
