“So-so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

The building is architecturally impressive but the galleries are cavernous & the collection, we felt, was quite mediocre, both of old masters & contemporary Latin American art. But worth a visit if you're in the neiighborhood buying Buquebus tickets for Uruguay.

“Wonderful Collection - MUST SEE!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Amalia has such a wonderful collection. Many of the Argentinian artists traveled to Europe to study and learn from the masters and their influence is unmistakeable. You'll see cubism, impressionism, surrealism, etc... but within an Argentinian subject/context. At first it felt a bit strange but then it seemed so natural. My guide was Alex and he was terrific! You'll also see Chagall, Warhol, Picasso, and others here. GREAT MUSEUM!

“Another excellent choice for the art in Buenos Aires”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

A very interesting private collection (now open to the public) of one of the most rich women in Argentina (recently passed away). A very rich group of classic and modern art. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful museum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

Happened across this wonderful museum in the Puerto Madero and was very happy to have visited it. It was very affordable, I think 35 pesos. The temporary exhibit focused on Argentinian artist Raúl Soldi and was wonderfully curated and presented. The rest of the collection is a great look at wonderful Argentinian artists that I had never encountered before as well as a few pieces from famous artists such as Turner and Brueghel. Definitely would recommend this beautiful building and the art inside!

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Wonderfull architecture in Puerto Madero, very nice views. The art collection is eclectic, extremely diverse range of quality, but the cafe/restaurante is ok, nice food, unforgettable desserts.
