“Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

My wife and i had an excellent meal there with good wine. The service was good but the food was the ticket that made the short travel by taxi ride all worthwhile. Would highly recommend a trip to Cocina Sunae.

“Escape from the beef planet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Upon the tomb of Evita we swear that we love the beef in Argentina, but after the second or third parrillada we start to feel like an overstuffed empanada, gallons of Malbec and Bonarda not withstanding. We first experienced the "puerta cerrada" dining scene at Casa Saltshaker on our first trip to BA and have been hooked ever since. You never know quite what to expect benind the closed door and this anticipation adds to the excitement! This door opened unto a very inviting world of hot and spicy Asian fusion cooking and it was wonderful! Every course so flavorful and fragrant from the lemon grass and galanga. We choose the pork as our main dish and it was beautifully presented and prepared to perfection. Just use the chili paste sparingly as it packs a mad kick. We were amazed that even with 2 bottles of wine the bill was $400.00 AR. Amazing food, wonderful service, such incredible value. Don't miss it!

“A nice break from Steak in BA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

We dined at Cocina Sunae on the last day of our 14 day trip to Argentina and Chile, figuring by then we would be tired of steak and craving a different ethnic cuisine. We were greeted by the chefs husband and seated in the intimate "supper club" room. The service and food during the entire evening was great. The menu items were both creative and delicious. The staff was very accommodating to our groups special needs. You felt like an important guest in their home.

“Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Heard from a few friends that Cocina Sunae is a must try when looking for asian food in BA. I was a little put off by the "closed door" idea, but I have to say I really enjoyed myself. Our server was spectacular, prompt and really personable. The food was amazing and totally fresh. I love that they have a different menu every week so it's always being mixed up. Would highly recommend Cocina Sunae -- probably the best asian in this city!

“Cocina Sunae "Secret Restaurant"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

I had the best Southeast Asia meal here in Buenos Aires last week. It's in a restaurant that's called "Cocina Sunae"

This is a "behind the closed doors" kind of restaurant which means it is located in the Chef's house. It's not very big but the atmosphere, the food and the service was amazing! They are open from 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. You need to order your entree choice at time of reservation. The cost is 150 ARG peso for a 4 course meal and the price includes water and tea. They have a different menu every week. I will definitely go back there again before i leave Buenos Aires. Here's their website: http://www.cocinasunae.com
