“Nice, Intimate B.A. boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Small, clean, modern boutique hotel close to Palermo Hollywood. Not palacial, but very quiet and well run. Our room had a HUGE private balcony over the ground floor restaurant's outdoor space. The staff was helpful and thoughtful - they left a note and housemade chocolates in my room for my birthday! The restaurant at this hotel is exceptional particularly for dinner. Intentive, fresh, local and seasonally balanced. Service was on par with Chicago (that is saying a lot as service in South America can sometimes really underwhelm). I think the value was decent for what you get. I have zero complaints about this business.

The hotel is modern and they have a great breakfast. Everyday the changed the options and that was good for my teens.
I travelled to Buenos Aires with 2 children (teens) and they need to go out by themselves during evenings so Palermo was a good area for that and full of restaurants and modern stores.
There are many hotel boutiques around but this one was ok for my family.
Highly recommended.

We stayed at Fierro for two nights, leaving yesterday.

It was absolutely wonderful!

We requested airport pick up service, and the driver was there to meet us with a sign, so our transfer to the hotel was very simple. Although our flight had us arriving before a normal check-in time the room was already prepared for us, including a crib set up (with sheets and a toddler pillow) for our baby.

The staff was always friendly and helpful. We needed a plug adapter and they had one for us to use.

The room was clean and beautiful. There were lots of treats available for purchase, which ended up being nice to snack on, and they left little chocolates when they cleaned the room. The shower was awesome.

We liked other things as well; the restaurant food was so delicious that we ended up not even wanting to go anywhere else. The breakfast was very good. Everything was really fresh and homemade, and cooked perfectly.

We really enjoyed the heated massage pool.

The only negative things about this hotel were:
1. Wireless internet did not work well for us. However, there was a wired connection in the room that always worked well (and pretty fast). We had the correct cord for that with us. It was inconvenient to not be able to use all of our computers at once, but the wired connection met our needs well enough.
2. We were only starting our trip with this hotel, so now we're comparing everything to this place, and it's set the standard really high.

Room Tip: We were in room 73 and it was great; balcony looked over the garden attached to the hotel restaurant...

Stayed at the Fierro 2 times in 12 days; both could not ask for anything more. Once for 4 nights, the other for a night. From the front reception staff, to the restaurant staff and the cleaners, it was just so friendly and helpful. The rooms were so clean, beds amazingly comfortable, facilities great and food amazing. Staff were helpful when needed but also respected your privacy. Traveling alone in Argentina, it was so nice to get a feel of comfort each night returning to the hotel. Thank you for the great experience and I will be back

Room Tip: Try everything on the menu Happy Hour on Friday is amazing

I stayed at the Fierro Hotel for 8 nights. The hotel is superior in every way. My room had a king size bed, a sofa, table and two chairs, and a desk to work at. The bed was heavenly. The sheets are nice and soft and the bed is comfy. The bathroom has a large shower with a rain shower head. A nice size closet in the room provided plenty of space for my clothes.

I ordered room service a few times and the order was filled promptly. The staff member set up my order on the table that was provided in the room. The food came hot. I highly recommend the Malbec.

Since I did stay there for 8 nights the breakfast did get tiresome. The menu did not change. I ate the same thing over and over. It would be a welcome change if there was a full breakfast menu.

The hotel offers hand made scarves that are made in the Palermo area for $45. I was able to find identical scarves for only $5 less. So if you do not have time to shop while you are there know that you are still getting a good deal and it is convenient!

The front desk was helpful and provided a local map with cafes, bars and restaurants. Most of the restaurants in the area were cash only.

I made an appointment for an in room massage. The massage was only OK.

This was without a doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed in, the type you wish you could give 6 'blobs' to. Sadly we were only here for one night but we were grateful for the experience.

We were given a warm welcome, the staff were friendly and printed out documents we needed to travel the next day.

The room was large and very comfortable. I had expected it to be bachelor pad style from the pictures on the website but it was well thought through, easy to relax and the beds were incredibly comfy. A complimentary bottle of mineral water and complementary chocolates were a nice touch. The shower in the bathroom was a powerful rainforest/dustbin lid style and the toiletries were good quality.

We were given vouchers for 2 free tapas in the restaurant and decided to stay for the tasting menu, which turned out to be a real highlight of the trip. We didn't go for the matching wines but there was a large selection of wines by the glass which gave us the opportunity to sample the best Argentina has to offer. They even opened a bottle of Malbec 'off menu' to pour us a couple of glasses they recommended with the dish.

The breakfast is also amazing, like a tasting menu in itself (including a yogurt mousse and a bruschetta), with a great variety and very good quality.

To clear our heads we went for a stroll around the block, which is in a great part of Palermo with lots of bars, shops and restaurants, before happily heading to bed.

There was a beautiful garden at the back and I absolutely loved the rooftop pool/hot tub. We got some fab photos across the B.A skyline at night and the pool was heated so well I went for a dip in the rain the next day while overlooking the city, it was a memorable experience.
