“A Real Find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

We were staying overnight in the Palermo area and read the Trip Advisor reviews. Our hotel was very near so we thought we would give it a go. It was excellent! A great atmosphere in a quaint restaurant with wonderful food and lovely wine (recommended by the waiter who also carefully explained the menu to us). No wonder people queue up to get a table!
Unmissable!

“Inventive & excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Diverse menu, creative dishes, superb flavors, and great character!

Menu changes regularly and the staff is excellent. A great break from the endless steakhouse of BA

“You don't call ahead - then don't beg to be seated.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

This place - if you look at the metrics of their rating - you'd then know this place means business.  Both at the door and on the chopping block.

I concur with a lot of what reviewers have said and described about the place.

You don't call and inquire ahead - don't waste your time going there.  Less than a dozen were turned away at the door the night we were there.  I imagine the closer to Thursday thru Saturday - the harder to get a table.

Went on a Friday night - friend booked the night before.  Yes it can be done.  It seems they seat a crowd and a half each night.

A serious taste-ophile destination that doesn't disappoint... But call first to avoid disappointment.

“Fabulous meal....large portions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Read about this restaurant on pickupthe fork.com which was a great BA food blog..sounded wonderful and our hotel pleaded for a last minute reservation for us. It was worth it, the food was extremely tasty and interesting and the atmosphere was fun. Our only complant was that neither of us could finish our ravioli (which we realized after each having an appetizer we should have shared) and whe we asked to take it with us they had absolutely no way to pack it up. We bemoaned that leftover pasta the next day as it was so good and when hungry again we would have loved to have it. I guess this is a convention in the States that hasn't spread everywhere.

“Simple place, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

We tried our luck and didn't book. Luckily someone had cancelled so we got in. So glad we did, as the food is amazing. 4 or 5 chefs were working tirelessly with 2 people serving. The place only seats around 30 at a guess. Menus all on the chalkboards and every choice we had was a winner. Didn't hit the wallet hard and the house wine was also good.
