“Awesome little hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

It's a small and lovely decorated hotel. Location is convenient, 4 blocks from the subway and 5 min walk from trendy Palermo Soho.Best breakfast I've ever had in Buenos Aires and the staff really makes the difference: always smiling and glad to help. If you are a Palermo fan, this is the place for you.

We have just come back from Buenos Aires, where we spent six nights at this lovely hotel. Location was perfect, in the quiet and fashionable neighborhood of Palermo, littered with bars, restaurants and boutiques. Our room was big enough and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Having arrived quite early in the morning, the staff at reception were glad to let us in our room much earlier than check-in time, a nice gesture as we had travelled during the night. Everything was spotless and the breakfast was fantastic. However, the best thing about this hotel was its sweet and helpful staff, always eager to help us in any way possible. It was a lovely, warm and welcoming hotel to come bock after many hours of sightseeing and we would definitely choose it again if we are lucky enough to have another opportunity to travel to Buenos Aires. It is really a shame that it is such a far away destination!

Room Tip: Some rooms are pretty dark as they face an inner courtyard. It doesn't really matter if you spen...

We spent the last two nights of our South American trip in Buenos Aires. Their response to my mails was exellent (Rodrigo) and we were collected at the airport by the taxi arranged through the hotel. The hotel is really very nice and well decorated. There are only 14 rooms in total so the attention that you receive from the staff is very good.

The rooms are really nice with a large bathroom and extremely comfortable beds. Breakfasts in the mornings are good with a nice selection. The hotel has a really lovely garden with swimming pool.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel for anyone wishing to stay in Buenos Aires. It is in a good neighbourhood and within close proximity to the public transport which can take you to the markets and the other areas of BA.

This was the last stop on our three week trip in South America and possibly our favorite hotel. It is located in a safe neighborhood, a short walk to a Subte metro station and close to several good restaurants. Our room was a little small but overall, it was very good and the large bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and featured eggs cooked to order, something not found in any other hotel we stayed in over the previous three weeks. The best feature was the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was very gracious and welcoming. We did not use the spa facility or the small pool but did enjoy the comfortable TV room on the main floor. Great hotel!

I stayed at the Duque for a week in July 2013. First impressions were good, the interior is decorated well and the staff greeted me warmly. The room was pretty large for a city hotel and the bed.... well it was the biggest bed I've ever seen!! The bathroom was good and the room had all the normal amenities you would expect. I'm not a huge fan of continental breakfasts but there was a good selection available and there were also eggs made to order. The hotel had free wifi throughout. There were spa facilities but I didn't use them. The staff were super friendly and helpful - they really are a credit to the hotel. Even when I did have a problem with my room, it was dealt with quickly and they even went over the odds and compensated me for the inconvenience.

Highly recommend this hotel :)

Stayed here after a month on the road in South America. One of the best hotels I've stayed in due to the friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Rooms were spotless, location was great (close to subway) and breakfast was awesome. Well done Duque hotel!
